       he is still protective of her . to hear her , trembling and shaken --- sheik can’t contain the easily pent up rage from rising within his chest . it festers while she does her best to deter him from his reverie . blood - colored gaze pulled away from a certain glossy alertness ( animalistic , someone once called it ) back to her . while this princess wasn’t his , he felt a certain need to protect , as if it were ingrained in his very body that he were a shield and he would use himself as such .

      lips met the coarseness of worn gauntlets and gauze , which caused an anxiety of his own . how much he didn’t want her to feel something so out of place . fingers pulled away , the minstrel sliding a couple steps back with practiced ease .

      “ it is nothing , what i’m here for . if this is all you require --- princess , i will take my leave now . “ although there lies a hesitance in his tone that fails to match the words he speaks . part of him refuses to leave in case she needs something else . while both blonde princesses he knows are strong and capable , sometimes even they need a shoulder to lean on .
