hey just a heads up but even making the smallest comments on someones art style can have a negative impact on the artist (and no, this does not apply to people who draw fat characters skinny, whitewash characters, etc.)

im talking about comments that some people reblog art with that are along the lines of “the characters head is too big” to “this character looks like [insert random character here]” to “eh i feel like the art style could be a little better”

literally no one is benefiting from comments like those oh my god

sometimes….. artists are already going through a rough time about their art by being too critical and harsh on themselves, and even the smallest & simplest comments like those really dont help, like, at all.

Critique with consent. Critiques can be useful, but they can also be counter productive. Also, reminder that a critique points out the bad AND the good and also gives suggestions on how to better the art, not just "your hand sucks".
