NBC is returning to Law & Order: SVU. The network has renewed the veteran procedural for a 16th season. 

Fox's Dead Boss has added a funnywoman to the ensemble. Amy Sedaris has joined the half-hour single-camera comedy pilot starring Jane Krakowski, which Fox is eyeing toward series production, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Additionally, Awkward's Jessica Lu has boarded NBC's Salvation pilot with Ashley Judd.

"30 Rock" scribes Dylan Morgan and Josh Siegal have inked an overall deal with Universal TV. Pair are set to develop comedy projects for the studio.

Krysten Ritter, who toplined NBC's comedy pilot Assistance last season, is back as the star of another NBC/Universal TV half-hour pilot.

In his first post-30 Rock TV gig (excluding that brief MSNBC debacle), Alec Baldwin is returning to NBC via a guest stint on Law & Order: SVU, TVLine has confirmed. 

Gary Sanchez Productions, the 7-year-old film and television production company formed by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, has formed a new female-driven division. Dubbed Gloria Sanchez Productions, the venture will focus on creating female-led film and TV projects and will be headed up by Jessica Elbaum, a longtime production executive at Gary Sanchez.

Indie darling Greta Gerwig will lead the cast of How I Met Your Dad, CBS' spinoff from long-running comedy series How I Met Your Mother.

Bill Cosby is coming back to television and to the network that aired his most popular show. THR reports that Cosby has signed on to star in a new family sitcom for NBC.

Departing Parks & Recreation original cast member Rashida Jones has lined up her next series vehicle, signing on to play the lead in TBS' single-camera Tribeca, co-created and directed by Steve Carell.

NBC is expanding its relationship with Amy Poehler.  The network has inked the newly minted Golden Globe winner to a three-year overall deal and greenlit a comedy pilot starring Natasha Lyonne. The untitled comedy was co-created by the Parks and Recreation star who will also executive produce. Lyonne will star in the project known as Old Soul and play a woman trying to find where she fits in between her friends. More to come...
