How I've been feeling as of late

no piece of teen media has ever accurately depicted the quiet psychological warfare of bullying. bullies on TV are always dumb brutes and not the evil geniuses of emotional manipulation that they are in real life. being given a wedgie and having your lunch money stolen is nothing in comparison to a classmate quietly creating a taboo against speaking to you that they intend to enforce against all the other kids. it’s nothing like continuous cutting comments from people you thought were being nice to you. that way that the work of one kid can make you feel like every person on earth silently hates you and that you are dirty, disgusting, worthless, creepy and useless. that you can have friends but many of them will not speak to you at school for fear of the social consequences on their end. how that damage lasts in any social setting for the rest of your life
you can’t even “tell a trusted adult” because you cannot begin to articulate the thousands of small transgressions you’ve experienced building to the horror of knowing your peers would like you dead. they don’t have to say it or hurt you physically. they have other ways of letting you know they’d prefer if you were worn fuel
the worst part is kindness as cruelty - the saying hi, the asking about your day, just talking to you and the joke is that anyone would ever want to talk to you and be interested in your life. it’s sickening and dehumanizing.

Been pondering adult, post-career Vodsca and what they get up to
Cuz like racehorse careers usually last like six years tops, so by their mid twenties all the umas have probably retired from racing which I don't think is all that different from human pro athletes like people who start young doing Olympic sports are usually retired from their sport by 30 so I started thinking about what'd they'd do after their racing days are done. Scarlet would definitely stay in the professional world like she wouldn't fully retire, she'd just retire from racing and find another career that's less physically demanding. The idea I had was that she'd work with Tachyon who, after retiring from racing, has her own lab and a research team and plenty of funding for experiments. Scarlet would be one of the researchers and potentially a spokesperson for the research team cuz Tachyon has a tendency to kinda scare people off and they don't wanna lose their funding cuz Tachyon said something that implied a violation of some research ethics code.
As for Vodka, he spends probably a year traveling and seeing the world on his brand new motorcycle and basking in the glory of becoming a legend of the racing world, but she gets tired of that life pretty quickly and ends up alone in a worn down apartment with a nicotine addiction that's starting to take a real toll on the fortune she made from racing.
Vodka and Scarlet haven't really stayed as close as they had been at Tracen, but they do keep in touch and, after not seeing Vodka or hearing from her in a while, Scarlet decides to check in on her. And of course, Scarlet is horrified at the state Vodka's in, and Vodka is appalled at the fact that Scarlet's still working herself so hard. So their bickering starts all over again, with Vodka insisting that she stop working overtime and learn to relax for once and Scarlet throwing out all of Vodka's cigarettes and begging him to get a day job to add some structure to his life.
This also gives me an excuse to have them beat each other up since they are no longer bound by school rules so trust that they are going to become terrible little freaks about each other and maybe I will have them go on vacation as well

It's not a bad outfit like don't get me wrong it's fashionable but that is NOT Narita Brian. Like she would not wear any kind of tight pants, that is a sweatpants horse, like sweatpants and an old, beat-up tank top and either like slides or high top basketball shoes. Like Brian definitely cares about how she looks, but not in the sense of being conventionally fashionable I mean look at that signature racewear it's all over the place but it's intentional. Idk I just think that horse is transgender and no transgender person dresses like that

i think anyone who refers to vodsca as toxic yuri misunderstands their dynamic on a fundamental level. their butting heads is exactly what drives them to be the best version of themselves on and off the track, and they also grow to understand and really appreciate one another throughout their respective careers.

Idk if I just don't have a lotta phone storage but Umamusume already takes up 21 out of the 64 GB in my phone's storage, who the fuck has eight gigabytes of storage just lying around like I do not have room on my phone for that
To anyone who's even remotely tech savvy, should I give up on trying to play on mobile and just get Umamusume on my laptop or is the massive data download for an event and therefore temporary so I can just wait till the event's over and evade the extra game data (if that's possible?)
