Hi love your blog . I wanted to share an observation with you (maybe I am wrong). From the time yizhan took off, taekook of BTS also took off. People made edits of taekook giving looks to each other, hiding in each other's vlive etc. we never saw other celebrities or their friends hinting about them. That's when I felt suspicious about them and reddit is fun of forums saying they are not true.
On the other hand , yizhan , their social media is full references, DDU is full of references, some interviews of other celebrities have references (esp of yibo being very talkative only when XZ is around), BTS of CQL is full of references. They sound like an open secret in the industry now. Also I have not found many forums , saying yizhan isn't real.
I just wanted to ask u, today after sooo many years of CQL, what makes u a believer.

honestly, like you said, it has been so many years that i do have doubts -- sometimes i joke to myself, "what if they were together but they've broken up since then?" haha. But I think that there's evidence in the little things even to this day, like the post I reblogged about them having similar backgrounds in short form videos. People have been noticing that for years now, so to keep doing it suggests that they want people to think they're in a relationship.
In the past I have looked for people who were against yizhan, and what I found was not very convincing -- sure, a lot of things 🐢s come up with are frankly ridiculous haha, but there is still a lot of stuff that is strong evidence (like the same backgrounds, all the old clips where they appear affectionate*, never specifically denying bjyx or shutting down the online group), and not a lot of evidence against yizhan. people who are against yizhan often have weird homophobic reasoning too haha.
*on the subject of affection, there is a lot of talk these days about how gestures of closeness are often assumed to be romantic, but they can be for any form of affection (most often the debate is between romantic and platonic interpretations). this is definitely true, but I think when it comes to real-life behavior, the norms that romantic love = more love/more close/just a stronger form of love than platonic love are very real, and I think we can take into consideration that most people have not questioned those norms and have not deconstructed the relationship hierarchy.
past a certain point, we can never know if they have another reason to encourage shipper fans. I think i've talked about possible reasons in the past - none of them are more convincing than "they actually are a couple and as couples tend to do, want to be proud of it and show off, so they share their relationship in the small ways they can". So when I am thinking about this, that I know I can only ever see a small part of the story, but what I do see suggests the relationship is possible/there is nothing disproving it, I chose to believe in the happy love story :)
