Turtle :D

So I talked about earlier that I like the idea of all girls minus Luna were in the same girl scouts troop together. So I am wondering if there was a time where Ámbar and Nina genuinely were on friendly terms (maybe back then when they were preteens), but in a group Ámbar just decided to put on more of an act and became meaner.

Here's the list of drabble prompts @turtleboi11037 prompted me this so... you know which pairing we're working with ;)

Nina was not used to using the front door. She was often here to see Luna, and then she used the kitchen door. But today she was not even sure if Luna knew she was here.

As she rang the doorbell, she heard the faint stomps of someone's heels. Ámbar opened the door and got her inside.

"You look nice," she mumbled.

"I wanted to dress modestly," Nina said. "I know Sharon's a bit... uh..."

"Yeah... it was a smart move." Ámbar suddenly leaned in and sniffed her hair. "And you have showered!"

"I have!"

"Ámbar! Was that your guest?" That was the voice of Sharon.

"Uh, yeah! We're coming!"

Nina followed Ámbar's lead into the dining room. Sharon was standing up with her arms crossed.

"Well... what was your name again?"

"Nina. Nina Simonetti... pleasure to meet you!" She reached out her hand.

Sharon shook it slowly. "And you're in Ámbar's grade?"

"A year below. But we're only a few months apart, since Ámbar is born in December and I am born pretty early in the year..." She smiled at Ámbar, "If you had been born just a little later, then we could have been in the same grade!"

"Or if you had been born very prematurely..." Ámbar replied in an oddly suggestive manner. She then coughed, realizing she didn't want Sharon to suspect anything, and stood up straight. "Uh, Madrina, Nina is at the top of her class! Just like I am!"

Sharon nodded approvingly. "You should definitely keep befriending only the most ambitious people around your age."

They sat down at the table and soon Amanda came out to serve the dinner. She seemed a bit surprised to see Nina.

"Nina! Are you eating out here?"

"I'm Ámbar's guest today," Nina said. "Don't tell Luna... I didn't have time to tell her."

"Alright..."

"Do you know Luna?" Sharon asked.

Nina nodded. "We're close friends, since we're in the same grade."

"Makes sense. What does your parents work with?"

"My mom is a lawyer, and my dad..." Nina realized saying that he worked as a video game producer probably wouldn't sound fancy and would for some reason bring Nina's reputation down in Sharon's eyes. She didn't get that. As if what the parents were doing for a living would affect her status in any way, even if the people asking never would meet her parents. Either way, she tried to dodge it the best she could. "... my dad works in Miami."

Luckily, Sharon didn't seem to want to ask follow-up questions. Both Ámbar and Nina felt like they could calm down... for the moment.

They ate in silence for a bit. This seemed to be going pretty well, Ámbar thought. She gave Nina a smile of reassurance.

Sharon raised an eyebrow. Ámbar didn't smile at her guests like this... the only one she ever did was... Matteo. Wait...

"Ámbar, are you still together with Matteo?" she asked. "I haven't seen him in a while."

"No, we broke up," Ámbar said pretty nonchalantly. Though, she frowned at her godmother for a second due to the sudden mention of this.

Sharon turned to Nina. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No..." Nina replied, looking down at her plate.

"You're too busy with your studies, I imagine."

"... I suppose..."

"That is good. Schoolwork always should come first. Dating just brings distractions."

"I still am the top student even while I'm dating someone," Ámbar noted.

"You slipped a bit when you dated Matteo!"

"Maybe, but now..." Ámbar suddenly stopped herself.

"What do you mean now?" Sharon asked. "Are you dating someone now?"

Ámbar didn't reply.

"Is she dating someone now?" Sharon asked Nina.

"Well..." Nina looked sympathetically at Ámbar.

"Ámbar, have you gotten a new boyfriend and not told me?!"

"I don't have a new boyfriend! And besides, why would you even care? You don't care about anything in my life."

"I don't want you to hide anything from me. Now, tell me immediately who it is!"

"No."

"Ámbar! You're embarrassing yourself in front of your guest!"

Ámbar glanced at Nina. "Do you think I'm embarrassing myself?"

"Not at all," Nina replied.

Ámbar gave her a small smile.

Sharon's eyes suddenly widened. Something was going on between the girls...

"So you don't have a boyfriend..." she said slowly, "But you're dating someone...?"

Ámbar just stared at her.

"Answer me!" Sharon exclaimed.

But Ámbar didn't.

"You!" Sharon pointed at Nina. "Does she or does she not date someone?"

"Don't yell at her!" Ámbar exclaimed, instinctively taking Nina's hand.

"I wouldn't have to if you just answered!"

"Fine!" Ámbar stood up, dragging Nina up with her. "This is Nina, she is my girlfriend. I like girls, no matter how much you want me not to. If I marry someone it's gonna be her, if I have a child then that child will have two moms. Deal with it!"

Sharon stared at them for a moment.

Then she fainted. Her head planted into her plate on the table, making a squish sound.

"Miss Benson!" Rey yelled, suddenly rushing into the room as if he sensed something had happend.

"Nina..." Ámbar said, "Can I sleep over at your place tonight?"

"Of course," Nina replied. She hugged her tightly.

"By the way..." she whispered, "Were you serious? You wanna marry me?"

Ámbar blushed. "I may have spiced it up just to provoke her, but you never know..."

10. My favorite scene in canon with them

They don't have a lot of 1-1 scenes. But I guess a scene would be what @turtleboi11037 shared with me, in like 1x06 when Nina says "Don't we all have secrets" and looks at Ámbar, and Ámbar in return just looks at her up and down.

A similar scene is in S2 when Jazmin tries to record Luna to ask about Matteo and when they doesn't answer, Jazmin tries to record Nina in case she can share something. And Ámbar is like "Of course Nina won't say anything... a good friend doesn't share other's secrets, right?" and smiles knowingly to Nina... as if she had told her a secret at some point??

11. How long did it take for them to get together?

Honestly if Ámbar just can go grab Luna's friends while they're over for a visit and almost kiss them (like she did with Simón), all that it takes is one afternoon where she asks Nina to go with her to their room. Unless a nosy Lunita bursts in like in that comic I made once, then they're gonna kiss and start dating.

13. Who came out first?

I should draw characters as security guards in fnaf more often... anyway here's Ámbar and Nina. Ámbar wanted to show her leadership skills by taking on the job... and Nina was there to help her check the cameras because "the pizzeria seemed so big so it felt like a 2 person job".
