The internet started as a place for humans, it was our knowledge as humanity into a platform that could be accessed by everyone. It has turned into a machine for surveillance, judgment and lack of critical thinking skills. There is nothing as inhumane as the internet nowadays.

And the worst part is that it's so normalised that no one has fun anymore in fear of being judged online by people they will never meet. It has changed our perception of reality and normality so much that we're living our lives as judgemental spectators.

lemon sharks can weigh up to 551 pounds (250 kg) and live up to 30 years.

lemon sharks are named for their yellow-brown skin that helps them camouflage in the sandy, tropical waters they inhabit

lemon sharks represent little threat to humans. according to the international shark attack file, there have been only 10 unprovoked attacks by lemon sharks, all occurring in florida and the caribbean. there have been no fatal attacks attributed to this species.

Got to see this alligator snapping turtle during fieldwork and I was able to capture one of my absolute favorite animal behaviors while this big girl was getting her physical. If you look in her mouth during this video you can see that her tongue has a pink appendage that is wiggling pretty vigorously.

This behavior is called “lingual luring” and it’s a really interesting little evolutionary trick. That wiggly appendage on the snapping turtle’s tongue very closely imitates the movement of a wriggling worm, enough that a passing fish might swim in for a closer look. Pretty clever way to hunt!
