days drag but weeks fly

She’s living with her sister who constantly berates my mom for not spending enough time with her. Like if my mom is out too late, she’ll berate her. If my mom goes downstairs to talk with my cousin, she is only “allowed” to be down there for half an hour or my aunt will start texting her to come up. My aunt is likely in the early stages of dementia but is making my mom’s life a living hell.

My mom wants to kick her out but can’t because she needs my aunt’s rent money; my mom’s money is entirely going to my sister who lives in England, without a job (somehow - I don’t understand how this is possible). My sister is rude and nasty to my mother when they talk despite my mom constantly sending her money (which I can see on Venmo).

My aunt doesn’t shower. She stinks to high heaven. My mom has similarly stopped taking care of herself. She showers maybe once a week and also smells bad.

My mom wants to move in with her other sister, but that sister does not want the cats to live in her house. The cats that my sister adopted and then dumped on my mom to go live her exciting life abroad, which consists of bed rotting in a rented room and taking trips to the continent with my mom’s money. My mom doesn’t take particularly good care of the cats; she’s never been a cat person, and now they’re part of what’s preventing her from getting herself out of what sounds like an awful situation.
