@yokelfelonking, You nailed it. I went home to my formerly small town, for a few days. A small town that used predominantly pastures and fields. 1/3 of those former wetlands, pastures, and green spaces are now covered with single and multi-family homes and apartments, A big ass Walmart complex and all the asphalt and cement one could ever want covering up some of the richest, darkest most fertile land one could ever want to put seeds in. Its all lost now. And when it all goes to shit, and wee need to grow food, we need wetlands, pastures, and green spaces we won't be able to. So depressing to see my hometown that has been the cattle belt here for more than a hundred years turned into a suburb.
