Q: How do I become a contributor?

Are we also allowed to submit original works for the writers application forms?
Yes! As long as you follow the guidelines specified in the application requirements, we do not mind original works being included as a sample of your writing.
Is it possible to elaborate a bit more on the âstyle guideâ writers will be asked to follow? Is this solely for formatting ease (highlight all italicized, bold and underlined words / use XX spacing / make indents etc), or does this guide also apply to things like authors personally preferring transliterations over translations (e.g shixiong over senior brother)?
Our style guide covers both. Because the zine is going to be printed and bound we are asking our writers to adhere to certain publishing standards (i.e. past tense usage, and 3rd person writing). To create cohesion throughout the zine, we are also requiring standardized uses of transliterations and standardized spelling/capitalization conventions for Chinese words.
If youâre worried about implementing these in practice, the beta mods will be happy to help you work these out! But we will ask for these rules to be followed for the sake of consistency.

What do we have here? It looks like weâre through testing the waters; our data analysts have returned with the results of our interest check!
We sailed the seven seas in search of seven series to represent in our zineâthe finalized list is as follows: SVSS, TGCF, MDZS, DTBPF, 2HA, MISVIL, and QJJ! The zine is currently planned to be released both digitally and physically.
