I don't even know what to say because they genuinely make no sense 😭😭 it started when Marco came back home to bvb in 2012. Lewa was already there and they became friends pretty quickly and when I say friends I mean it pretty loosely. Marco had other people he was much closer to especially Mario who was his bestie but he was so different with Lewa. What they had gave you the impression that they weren't aware of the eyes on them at all. So intimate that you feel the need to look away at times and I swear this isn't just me rpfing they were just weird about each other 😭

Now that's the cutesy fluffy phase of their whatever they had and god knows these GIFs don't even cover the quarter of what they had. There are also YouTube videos you can check that show many more moments that show how insane they were at times 😭

And then disaster struck and Lewa decided to leave bvb for Bayern as a free agent a year after they also took another one of our stars (Mario). So that was considered a big betrayal tho not as big as Mario's imo because he was actually an academy product and should've been more loyal. Now for context Mario and Marco were super super close and when he left to the same club Lewa went to they were fine. They acted normally after games etc so everyone expected the same to happen between him and Lewa right? Wrong! Oh Marco was bitter! Especially in the beginning. He was so mad at Lewa he shrugged him off when he tried to hug him and Lewa's reaction was so 😭

Some games after, he got the hug at last but Marco looked like he barely had time for him (look at Marco going down to lace his boots while Lewa is still holding on to him 😭) yet he still made a separate post for Marco with that hug and captioned it: "90 minutes of fighting at the pitch, but outside the stadium there is more to it than football. Was great to see you all again" tagged marco and referenced his celebration "🙈🙉🙊 " (which could mean nothing).

There's also this photo that makes my heart ache poor Marco 😭😭😭🚬 he looks so betrayed 🚬

But then they also do shit like this (this was years after Lewa left and their handshake was still intact btw) and the hand... And this and this and this also this and this etc etc god knows there are too many moments to count.

And then there's that one video that made sports Yaoi history and that I can never escape for the life of me 😭 no but I will give everything to know what was going on in their heads on that day. Lewa literally holding eye contact until Marco couldn't keep the serious face anymore and why the hell was he rubbing his eyes after like he got emotional 😭 like what was going on? Marco was asked about it recently and had this very normal answer I guess?

The interesting part about Marco's reaction to Lewa back then is that he stayed in bvb for a long time and had to watch many of his good friends leave us and a few to Bayern too but he didn't show anger towards any of them except for Lewa. He was genuinely giving bitter ex and he didn't even care to hide it. When he was pissed at him he made sure he showed it. It was to the point they unfollowed each other and Lewa followed him again but Marco hadn't followed him back to this day despite Lewa still following him. He's still hanging and his first post is still the photo of Marco kneeling in front of him 😭 the fact that Lewa cared so much to make amends and kept reaching out also makes the whole thing even more intriguing because that was hardly the first time Lewa fell out with a teammate nvm an ex one yet he never went far and beyond like he did with Marco. They both acted out of character when it came to whatever happened between them.
