Here's some anti autistic social related things ive experienced that have nothing to do with infodumping at allistic people (because conversations go deeper than an autistic person breaking social convention): (childhood and adulthood)
- the vocabulary choices I go to naturally people often make fun of. As a kid theyd at best call me a nerd and at worst would say "im not gonna talk to you/I cant talk to you because the words you use aee "too big" or weird". As an adult, I still get told my vocabulary is weird and "why would you use that word naturally thats so random".
- in another vein of vocabulary, is the way I construct sentences. My dad used to call them "Gill sentences" but he reinforced that it was unique and he loved it and never wanted me to change. Sometimes hed gush about it to teachers or so called friends. Sometimes id bring it up oht of love for mt dad. Allistic people would agree but in a "Yeah the way you talk is just sooooo weird".
- When it is appropriate to "info dump" or "share knowledge", ive gotten made fun of. Ex: Person A is talking about a news story. Did you guys hear about X that seems wild! Id respond "I have and I learned xyz about it" (I purposefully would keep it short because #theyhateinfodumping). And currently at my place of work I grt made fun of for "knowing too much about random topics" because its just so weird I read stuff and learn about it and share about it. They think of me as a "um well actually" guy even though I dont condescend.
- trying to way conversations and "asking questions" but they've already clocked you as a weird autistic person and so they dont answer you when you make it a two way conversation. But then they also dont want you to leave they just want to emotionally dominate the conversation with you or the group without you interfering.
- id often get pranked because especially as a kid I took things literally and people would purposefully be nice to me just to test how gullible I was so theyd laugh and they wouldnt explain it either.
- Struggling with whose turn it is to speak had very negative social consequences and assumptions about your intentions.
- I had an ex friend once tell me that sometimes I talked too long so she purposefully zoned out until.i was done because she later told my dad she believed I just needed to get it off my chest and the listening wasnt really the important part.
- one time I made friends with the new girl in high school and i told her how I daydream before bed like stories/etc to help me fall asleep and she thought that was so disgusting and weird she never talked to me again.
- when I joined medical school i was constantly probed by allistics about why I had disability accommodations for test taking. And I told people I had sensory problems/get overstimulated and one guy asked in front of a portion of my class "how are you going to be a doctor in the hospital if you cant handle sensory stuff?" LOL.
- I struggle with multitasking certain things with social conversations. And ive often throughout my life had people angry with me for not being able so. Bonus is I also struggle to remember names and dates and often have to write them down or practice and this too comes with social ire even though im direct with it.
- even though im open about my auditory processing issues people still get mad at me for having to repeat themselves or that I get words mixed up.
Anyway how about we talk about the battles autistic people socially go through that have nothing to do with us being stupid and thinking we should be allowed to infodump 24/7.
