aries - darren tyler

darren was pretty hard to place, but i really liked this quote from the aries description for him: “Remember, you don’t always have to be first and best. You can simply be you.” i thought that worked really well considering his powers in relation to spook’s and his interesting lack of an inferiority complex despite this.

taurus - dax jones

“Calm, collected and attractive on the outside, raging like a tempest in the inside, Taurus is the blacksmith shop of the soul.” this worked great for dax’s “inner volcano”, and it also talked about being possessive and a strong earth sign.

gemini - lisa hardman (me!)

admittedly, lisa was supposed to be a virgo, but i didn’t want to be jenny so i cheated a little. but it still worked, i think: “You need a diverse group of friends to stimulate the many sides of your mind. And you need to turn your nearly obsessive inner dialog into something creative.” just substitute “obsessive inner dialog” into “dead people yelling at you.”

cancer - barry blake

idk with this one, honestly, but the description talked about being both nurturing and cranky/moody, and that reminded me of barry (especially in relation to clive.)

leo - owen hind

“Selfless and hard-working”, and “for the most part those born under your sign take being ‘at the center of things’ as a responsibility rather than a privilege,” were the quotes i picked up for owen.

virgo - luke reader

is it weird that i didn’t make the twins geminis? but luke just is a virgo, according to this description. it was super accurate. the beginning especially: “Virgo is a mentally oriented, highly intelligent, nervous sign that needs to remember it’s made of the element earth. That’s another way of saying that your life is a constant process of translating from idea to reality and back.” 

libra - jennifer troke

admittedly, i struggled with jenny. but she’s always seemed like a fair-minded individual who values her friends and seems to get more involved in romance than the rest of them, so, “you have a sense of fairness and equanimity that is alien to many people around you. Yours is also one of the primary signs associated with relationships and relating, which are important priorities for you.”

scorpio - mia cooper

it’s a “fiery water” sign. how could i not.

plus: “It’s healthy for you to let go; pay attention and you will figure out that jealousy is your best teacher.” that covers like, all of dowsing the dead.

sagittarius - gideon reader

this one just seemed right, even though the description wasn’t that great. “Your reputation for being a freewheeling devil-be-damned type is entirely true until we get to your rock-solid values, which can be traditional, cautious and even conservative.”

capricorn - spook williams

this one is a bit cliche, to be honest, because people like spook are always capricorns. plus “crispy on the outside and sensitive on the inside” made me laugh.

aquarius - jacob/alex teller

it’s a creative and intelligent sign, which works well for the brohters, but there was also this which i found really interesting: “You seek both individuality and group identification, but lean more toward the first, which is a good thing: only an individual can be part of a group.”

pisces - clive smith

this seemed to describe a very well-balanced and logical person, which is perfect for clive. and it’s important that he is a balance for the colas (which i love). “The last sign of the zodiac embodies the idea that the world is created by opposite energies that compliment and balance one another.”
