TURN THAT SHIT DOWN

It's with a very heavy heart I'm announcing the indefinite hiatus of my music blog Turn That Shit Down. For quite some time I've been struggling silently with depression and anxiety. Not only has this been severely effecting my personal life, it's been taking a huge toll on my work with Turn That Shit Down. It's been a difficult choice, but I've decided to take a step back until I feel like I can once again start putting out my best work. A little over two years ago I made this blog as part of a college project, but within doing so it made me realize what my true passion was: helping people. I wanted Turn That Shit Down to represent the little guy, the underdog, the misunderstood and the overlooked. I wanted to be the platform that held up the talent so it could shine like it deserved. I think, with the help of one of the greatest music communities on this planet, for a brief second I was able to achieve what I wanted and for that I can't thank everyone enough. To the countless bands and musicians in the Ontario scene that gave the unknown music blog a chance: I know I wouldn't be where I am today without you. To the fans who continued to support and encourage me: I never thought in a million years anyone outside my group of friends would give a damn, every like, share, reblog and favourite - they meant the world to me. To every single friend I made because of this blog: you know who you are, thank you for making these the best two years of my entire life. You are more than your mental illnesses, your mood disorders, your so called flaws and your bad days. You are not alone. Sincerely, Aaron.
