"⌠I canât wait until Atsuyaâs backâŚ"
"Hang in there, Shirou-kun! Sometimes I get lonely when Kyousuke leaves too, but don't get too sad. He'll be back soon enough."Â
He chuckled, mainly to himself, a slight nervousness laced within the sound. Hakuryuu wasnât the best at masking his emotions, but that didnât mean he wasnât going to try and impress Kyousukeâs older brother. There was an unusual obligation the white-haired boy held in the back of his mind, one of complete and utter respect for Yuuichi. The question posed before him was entirely innocent, clearly heard through the otherâs tone of voice. Hakuryuu smiled to himself, humming softly.
"Iâve visited the team a couple of times," His red eyes temporarily flicker in the direction of the stadiums before moving back to Yuuichi. The younger boy crosses his arms, carefully watching the other in momentarily thoughtfulness. Hakuryuu already thought well of the older Tsurugi sibling, but honestly wondered how he was like out on the soccer field. Heâs aware of Kyousukeâs plan to help his brother, and Hakuryuu wonders if he could ever lend a hand.Â
Friends help each other out, after all. He supposed he declared in an unsurprisingly forward manner, because Yuuichiâs observation was spot on. Hakuryuu definitely cared about Kyousuke, and somewhere in his thoughts there were times where he considered that friendship just a little more than that. That was a topic for another time, he quietly concluded. âI do care about him. Heâs one of the most important people in my life, after all.â
⌠Maybe he made himself a little too obvious. Ah well.
Hakuryuu chuckled amusedly, his shoulders lifting up in a small and slightly defeated shrug, shaking his head lightly. âNot even you can defeat him, huh?â He mused, a little thoughtfully, before sending a mischievous glance in Yuuichiâs direction. âMaybe we should team up to defeat him! Perhaps our combined strength can take him down once and for all!â
"I hope you'll get along with the members," Yuuichi couldn't help the lift in his expression. Even despite not playing it since he was a kid, the topic of soccer was enough to return the feeling of excitement. It was a pure, honest type of feeling. One he would gladly share with his new white-haired companion if he were to let him. He followed Hakuryuu's eyes lightly as they wandered elsewhere, allowing them to linger off somewhere ahead of them before turning his attention back. Hakuryuu was looking at him, causing him to blink.
As a fellow striker, or at least, a former fellow striker, there was one other feeling he understood too. "Oh, and Hakuryuu? As fun as it is to show off, make sure to pass to other people, too."Â
One of Hakuryuu's most important people. That could be interpreted in several different ways and with it being as obvious as it was, Yuuichi couldn't exactly help when his mind drifted off to briefly consider the most obvious one. And even if that wasn't the case, as a respected elder figure and friend to them both he would support their friendship just the same.Â
The two clearly made each other happy. That's all that mattered.Â
"Ah? No, I can't. Even though I'm the older one here, I can't really do that much..." He raised a hand to scratch lightly at his cheek. He could relate with that feeling of defeat. The mischief, too. While he would have preferred to have place a hand against Hakuryuu's shoulder in a gesture of playful reassurance, from where he sat there was an obvious difference in height between them, so he resorted to reaching out and brushing a hand to his arm instead, "Do you think we could do it? I dont know, Kyousuke is pretty strong...ah, he's like the big boss at the end of a level! Don't you agree? Let's do our bests together!"Â

Shiro smiles, happy that Yuuichi has allowed her to push him. She nods at Yuuichiâs concern, which was honestly a definite thing a brother like himself would worry about. Shiro thought this was quite adorable of Yuuichi-kun, so she smiled. She did want to give him a well-earned break; he probably had to push himself around a lot in his wheelchair, and that could make someone incredibly tired. Shiro pushes Yuuichi out of his room and heads for the front door of their shared dorm, stopping to grab the keys and pull on her shoes. While doing this, Shiro listens to what Yuuichi has to say.
"That sounds like such a nice thing of Kyosuke-san to do for you, Yuuichi-kun. I usually never go out in the summer, as I donât like the sun that much, but its always good to try new things, no?" Shiro smiles, pulling open the door and pushing Yuuichi out in his wheelchair.
"I think if this excursion goes well we should try it again Yuuichi-san! I think you are already a great person to go on walks with," Shiro smiles even wider now as she locks the door to their dorm, pocketing the keys as she turns to look around at Yuuichi.
Yuuichi blinked a bit at her observation before nodding, turning his head slightly to look at her. That's true. His little brother was always going out of his way to do things for him. Since as long as he could remember it'd been that way. "Kyousuke does nice things for me all the time. Some things are more obvious than others, but I appreciate them all."Â
They were leaving their dorm now. As he was pushed forward with a noticeable amount of care, Yuuichi turned his attention the latter part of her sentence. Somehow, he wasn't all that surprised to hear she didn't go out very often, a remark that roused a quiet chuckle.Â
"Thinking about our next walk before we've even finished the first? For someone who spends most of her time indoors you sure are eager." Not that he was judging. Nor was he complaining. In fact, he sounded especially content, enough so that he reached an arm up to place a hand to her head after beckoning her closer. Giving it a pat, he pulled away, continuing on in a museful tone, "You'd be ready to keep that promise, though."Â
"At least you tried it out," he pointed out softly, gazing at the older with a seemingly blank look but there was a warmth in his eyes. With a blink, he gently swatted Yuuichiâs hands, giving off a soft grumble in response. "Please. Iâm not a grouch. Thatâs just your imagination."
Even if he said that, he himself admitted it that he could be, but he liked the word loner better. He just didnât like the whole idea of hanging out with others unless they shared a same interest as him. As for Tenma, well, the brunet was a different story of course.
Yuuichi had known Kyousuke long enough to be able to tell his little looks apart. Though they may look similar to someone who hadnât, he could easily pick apart and savour the underlying compassion in his gaze.Â
"Is it? Mh, I wonder." He spared a glance to his hand, turning it over lightly before giving a laugh. It hadnât hurt, of course. But Yuuichi was in a good mood. Amused and particularly playful, he couldnât help but tease him â maybe it was due to their little videogame session. He placed that same hand back to Kyousukeâs cheek, this time to cup it within his palm.Â
"Was that hit my imagination too? I wouldnât exactly call being violent towards your older brother very nice."Â

[Well. So this is the famous Yuuichi-san that every soccer player has heard about at least once. heâs just as handsome as expected, except he also looks like Tsurugi, which is a little strange. A smiling, gentle Tsurugi. his lips are tugging up to smile at you in return before he even realises it, lending him a soft, open expression.]
Aâ ah, if itâs not too much trouble. [voice low, half-leaning against the door abashedly. silently chastising himself. Heâs Seidouzan, dammit! Whyâs he getting so embarrassed by a gentle smile?â and walking over to you, meekly taking the chair.]
Ahâ I donât know about friend, no. [a quick shake of the head, matter-of-fact, glancing up in thought.] We played one another in the Holy Road finals. [proffering the large bento silently to you.] Will you do me the honour of eating with me, Yuuichi-san? [scrupulously polite.]
"It's no trouble at all. Actually, I was just thinking of how some company would be nice." Yuuichi's eyes, big and brown and warm as ever followed Io as he moved from the door and accepted the offer to sit. He seemed nice. Good manners and an equally as polite presence to match.Â
"Ah, is that so? That must mean you're pretty strong! You'll have to excuse me, I wasn't able to attend the game in person but I enjoyed watching you play on TV."Â
The finals of the Holy Road. That meant...--Seidouzan!Â
So he wasn't one of Kyousuke's friends. Ah, well. The other striker and younger Tsurugi would probably insist he didn't have many of those anyway. Still, to say he wasn't excited to be meeting a player of such high capabilities would be a lie.Â
He tilted his head, looking at the bento when it was offered to him. It sure looked good. Better than his own lunch. Yuuichi felt a soft, particular rumbling in his tummy as he shifted forth to get a better look at its contents, "I can have some? It looks so good, are you sure it's okay to be sharing?"Â
deathswordo
"I-Iâm fine. Donât worry," was his stuttered response, a light red hue dusting his cheeks in embarrassment. He couldn't let his brother know he was scared of horror movies!
Climbing back onto the bed, he re-situated himself next to Yuuichi once more and the two began to focus their attention back on the screen, the only sounds filling the room was the audio from the movie and their soft breathing.
Only when another particular scary scene came on, automatically Kyousuke pressed his face into Yuuichiâs neck, lips pressing up against the skin there.
He heard Yuuichi gasp, but Kyousuke didnât pull away, lingering there as his breath fanned over the skin. He wanted to stay in this position, even if it meant his lips brushing up against the others neck every time he shifted or jumped at a sound coming from the television.
Yuuichi was surprised. Of course he'd be. In one instant he'd been watching a particularly gory scene and before he knew it, in the next his brother had firmly attached himself to his side. Which wouldn't have been such a big deal if it weren't for the way he'd nuzzled himself into his neck as a result, pressing into him in what could only be described as a kiss. The lips that brushed against him were soft and indescribably warm, he felt a blush coming to his cheeks.
Thank goodness for the darkness.Â
Gaze flickering to the movie then back to Kyousuke, Yuuichi understood. He was scared. Was Kyousuke bad with horror movies? That explained the former tenseness to his air, and the way he'd fallen. He shifted his torso, moving just enough to allow him to loop his arms around the younger boy's body and draw him in warmly, properly against his chest.
"It's okay...it's okay, big brother is here. I'll tell you when the scene is over, alright? You don't have to look if you don't want to."Â

Seeing that Yuuichi could move into the wheelchair himself, Shiro simply moved to get it, opening it and placing it by where he was seated on the bed. Shiro watched carefully as Yuuichi pulled himself out of the bed and into the wheelchair, watching in case anything happened to him. Once it seemed like Yuuichi was situated, Shiro opened her mouth to speak.
"Would you like me to push you Yuuichi-kun? I suppose you donât let people push you a lot, but I think you deserve a break on pushing yourself," Shiro says, smiling as Yuuichi turns around to look at her, "Of course, you can push yourself if you want! Iâm just offering.
Shiro pauses for a moment waiting for Yuuichi to answer, then flusters when she realizes what he had said earlier while she was watching him sit down in his wheelchair.
"We should definitely do this regularly. Itâd be good for the both of us," Shiro says, looking down at her fingers as she feels incredibly flustered about Yuuichiâs caring attitude with her, "I think I would enjoy going outside with you more, ah, Yuuichi-kun."
"I don't mind if you push me." Yuuichi told her, shaking his head, "But if it  gets tedious, you tell me, alright? I'm probably a bit heavy."Â
He'd never tell anyone, especially not Kyousuke, but the act of getting around was harder than it looked and often left him with a particular discomfort in his hands. A break here and there was definitely something to be appreciated.
"With summer here there's going to be plenty of nice days. Even when we were back at home, when the sun was shining Kyousuke and I would sometimes go for walks around the garden at the hospital." He recalled the memories with a certain sort of fondness, one that bordered even the boundary of sibling love. Turning his gaze from Shiro, he focused it somewhere ahead instead with a small, but smile that was as soft as ever, "--It would be a nice habit to pick back up."Â
I had a dream earlier about playing soccer with Kyousuke. The two of us were running after the ball⌠It was fun. But Iâm not letting this dream end. I will definitely be able to walk again.

Fei was glad the situation didnât cause confusion. They knew each other but at the same time didnât, strange maybe but it worked out for the best.
"I suppose walking around the school for five days a week would get anyone used to it. But this place is so big⌠it must be quite easy to get lost," but Yuuichi was right, it was all part of the school experience and Fei was more than happy to wander around aimlessly for a bit.
"An⌠ice tea bar? HmâŚ" Fei paused, folding his arms and tilting his head slightly, more out of habit than anything else. "Wait! I think I remember seeing some kind of Food Hall when I arrived, maybe itâs somewhere there?" he suggested. "Unless itâs a bit too boring to know where weâre going~" He didnât mind taking his time either, the other was pleasant to talk to and he was more than happy to keep his pace brisk.
"Mh, it must be." He knew it not only from hearing it, but from unfortunately experiencing the same for himself. With it being harder to get around than most students, getting lost meant quite the ordeal. He didn't let it taint his experience, though.Â
Getting lost had been the way they just so happened to meet, after all.Â
"You know the way?" Yuuchi couldn't help but give a chuckle at the gesture. Whether intentional or not, he found himself mirroring it with a light tilt of his own head. Perhaps it paled in comparison to the real thing, but it got his message across, and he glanced over, "How impressive, Fei! Why don't we head there first then? I don't know about you, but I could certainly go for something refreshing--It'll be my treat."
He didn't mind the latter choice either, and hoped Fei wouldn't feel pressured into agreeing with him.Â
familiar face;; yuuichi san
Hearing a voice right behind him, he couldnât help but jump at the sudden voice telling him to turn around. Quickly he glanced right behind him to see a familiar face and ironically the one he was just talking about, only a wide smile showed on his face. No. Way.Â
"Yuuichi-sanâ-!"
At least he was about to yell before Tenmaâs quickly slapped over his mouth before he started to yell. Right. Library. But the grin doesnât fade away from his face hearing the other comment on his rather bad studying habits. âE..Ehehe⌠S..sorry. But I was struggling with some of my literature homework. and itâs more fun studying with friends back in Raimon. So I got a bit homesick and was looking at pictures.â
Yuuichi was glad the boy seem to remember where they were in time. Although, he'd let the beginning of that outburst slip without giving him too much of one his brotherly scoldings for it--He was just as happy to come across Tenma, after all. In a quieter fashion, maybe, but the feelings were entirely mutual.
"Tenma-kun!"Â
"Are you doing well, Tenma-kun? It's been awhile. The last time we've met like this was, well..." Back at the hospital, during his rehabilitation like the picture suggested. He couldn't exactly say he'd been much else any time recently. He settled on a light chuckle to complete his sentence, giving a nod.Â
"Ah, it's true! Studying is easier when you've got people to help you. I can't promise I'll be of much help, but why don't we take a look at it together?"Â
roommates - {shiro & yuuichi}
Shiro nodded eagerly, and happily. She felt extremely happy that Yuuichi accepted her; her âpassionâ for games wasnât always accepted, and she was just glad that someone such as Yuuichi accepted her. Shiro was also overjoyed that Yuuichi accepted her invitation outside.Â
Shiro was glad, though, that Yuuichi didnât feel too sad being by himself. At least he had his brother, and the friend that he mentioned, as well as Shiro herself. Still, Shiro supposed it would be good for Yuuichi to go outside. This academy still surprised Shiro with all of its odd characters and events, and it was almost like an adventure when you went outside. It reminded Shiro of the race of Imanity, as well as the other various races found in her true world.
"Iâm glad you donât feel too sad about being cooped up all the time, Yuuichi-kun! And Iâm very âflatteredâ you think of me in that way," Shiro smiled, squeezing Yuuichiâs hand before releasing it to get up, "You need your wheelchair to go outside right? Iâll get it for youâŚOh, I didnât mention how Iâm just really excited we get to go outside and spend time together!"
Maybe it was sad, but he had no complaints. Putting his time and efforts into concentrating on his recovery would be much more beneficial than moping around, for both him and the younger sibling he held so dear. That's why it was an outlook he'd stick with.
"Mh, that's right." He nodded, eyes glancing towards the aforementioned chair, "But I should be fine if you just put it close. It gives me a chance to practice taking a few steps!"Â
When she did, Yuuichi shifted himself over to the side of his bed, peeling away the light blanket. By now, he was used to this sort of thing, and hoisted himself up and over through routine, rehearsed movements. When he was seated once again, he adjusted his legs accordingly, before placing his arms back against their designated rests. He didn't want to cause her anymore trouble than his way of living already, so he didn't ask her to push him--Though, being the kind and curious girl she was, he suspected she'd offer anyway.Â
"If it goes well, why don't we make it a regular thing?" He turned his head to look at her, his voice taking on the tone of a museful scolding. The hint of his former smile betrayed it though, "A young girl like you shouldn't be spending all her time cooped up alone either, you know. The fresh air will be good for you."Â
Nai moves in and gives you a peck on the cheek. Happy 'National Kiss a Soccer Player Day'! âĄ
Was that a real holiday? It sure was specific. No matter, Yuuichi beamed and returned the peck anyway, âThank you, Nai-kun.âÂ

âOf course weâd love to have you!â Â
'Ah, that sounded a bit desperate,'Â Hakuryuu realized after the fact. His shoulders relaxed after the declaration and his expression relaxed significantly. Making himself nervous in front of of Yuuichi wouldnât make for good first impressions.Â
Heâs heard about Yuuichiâs legs from Kyousuke. To say Hakuryuu felt sympathetic wouldnât be off the mark; to be unable to play soccer must be harsh, but he admire Yuuichiâs determination and truly believed that heâll be able to play in the future. âIâve seen the soccer fields. They are certainly impressive, thatâs for sure.â Hakuryuu wonât mention that heâs barely attended practice, only because Kyousuke hasnât shown up once and therefore, his attendance record is fairly poor.
"Usually I have to find him though!" Hakuryuu chuckles, a glint of adoration in his red eyes. Spending time with Kyousuke was a highly enjoyable experience, even if the boy was very stubborn. âBut we have fun! Even if he does beat me most of the timeâŚâ
Hakuryuuâs smile softened. âHe doesnât show it, but he means well. I just know he does.â
"Oh, so you've seen them!" Not a surprise, it was only natural for a soccer player to seek out where they'd be playing and who they'd be playing with. The particular though brought another question to mind, which he promptly posed, flashing the boy a grin, "Does that mean you've visited the team, too?" His tone wasn't accusatory in the slightest, simply curious.Â
The instinct of an older brother isn't one to be underestimated, after all.
Yuuichi kept his gaze fixed on Hakuryuu's expression. He observed every rise and fall in his features, every emotion that passed through them-- Hakuryuu was much more animated when he was speaking about Kyousuke, he concluded quietly.Â
"Of course he does," Yuuichi moved his hands from the armrests of his chair to found them neatly in his lap, "I can see it in your eyes--Â You must care about him a lot, don't you? You should know that better than anyone."Â
He knew his brother to be someone with a very clear purpose behind the things he did, or the cryptic words he gave here and there. It was just another quality that made him, well, him. He wasn't a bad kid, nor was he uncaring. To see someone who both understood and was capable of appreciating those sides of his personality of his brought Yuuichi a sense of happiness.Â
"I've given up trying to actually beat him...A few times he even offered to teach me. Can you imagine it? Me?" He paused to give a chuckle, sounding sweetly, almost naturally from a pair of rosy lips, "It must have been a funny sight for someone so experienced."Â
roommates - {shiro & yuuichi}
Shiro blushed slightly letting out a quiet surprised noise when Yuuichi grabbed hold of her hands. They were much bigger than her own hands, and soft as well. Shiro smiled, feeling Yuuichiâs excitement; it seemed to radiate from him, which was very admirable to Shiro. She had thought Yuuichi would shun Shiro, as most that she had told this to had expressed distaste in the thought that someone as young as her was already a NEET.
Yet, Shiro felt acceptance and happiness come from Yuuichi, which made Shiro feel better about herself. He seemed to know how to make people feel better about themselves, almost like it was his job to do so. Shiro looked up through her bangs and gave Yuuichi a small smile, which he returned eagerly.
"Ah, I guess you could say Sora-nii and I are a a bit well-known in the gaming and online world," Shiro stated, blushing a little, "Itâs completely fine that you have no talent! Usually Sora-nii or myself get put down for investing ourselves in our games butâŚits really fun. Thank you, though, I am only so talented because Iâve played games for so longâŚMaybe I could teach you sometime to play! We could play togetherâŚ"
Shiro paused, playing with Yuuichiâs hands, âAh, Yuuichi-kun feel free not to answer this butâŚwould you like to go outside and get fresh air? You donât have to if youâre not comfortable, it just seems a littleâŚsad, you being cooped up in here all the timeâŚâ
Let's just say the last time he played a game, it didn't go quite as smoothly as anticipated. He just hoped Shiro was as patient a teacher as she seemed.Â
But regardless of his own skill, people enjoying and indulging themselves earnestly in a hobby was one of Yuuichi's favourite thing to see. Whether it be soccer or, in this case, videogames. He'd probably be content with even just watching her play. Once she'd finished talking, he greeted her words kindly with a nod. "No matter what people say, it's what you love, right? Sora-kun, too. Play games because it's what you enjoy doing and eventually, you'll come to find the ones who can enjoy them along with you."
The next question, posed only after a moment of silence from the young girl surprised him. The fact she was even thinking about it at all came as a slight shock, though the expression settled quickly back to his usual one.Â
"Sad...?"Â
"Oh, well...I guess it gets a little lonely just sitting around sometimes, but Kyousuke comes to visit me often. Even more now that we've arrived here." Though that probably went without saying. They did share a room, after all, and his brother's clothes weren't exactly the hardest to miss. The same went for their mutual friend, who'd dropped in a few times to say hello. Yuuichi brushed his thumb gently over her palm as he spoke, "And now with a roommate as thoughtful as you on top of that, there's no way I could get sad. I think it sounds like a wonderful idea, Shiro. Let's go outside."Â
