“This series is called Romantics, named after and inspired by Tove Lo’s newest album. In this series, I photographed one single model alone, as sort of a commentary on spending Valentine’s Day with yourself. I am heavily inspired by romance and intimacy and wanted to really play with those concepts in these photographs. I also really love the colors that are associated with Valentine’s Day, as I am constantly inspired by reds and pinks. I am also super in love with the idea of handmade, doily valentine’s cards, so I took this as an opportunity to make some fun, simple collages that resemble valentine’s day cards.”
