Tony never really paid attention to the red string attached to his hand. Sure he knew intellectually it was meant to lead to his soulmate but if he was honest with himself Tony wasn't sure how much he believed that to be true. And so he just didn't think about it. That was until one day while walking around the R and D department he was taken to be introduced to his companies latest employee. An absolute genius if the supervisor was right. Now if Tony had paid attention to his soulmate string he would have noticed that he was being led in the direction it went off in and was becoming noticeably more tangible the closer he got. But he didn't. Tony only noticed when he went to shake the younger man's hand and saw his red sting was in fact also attached to the red string on the others hand too. Looking at the younger man his soulmate all he could do was smirk and feel extraordinarily pleased with who fate had lead him to.

'Well, Peter was it, looks like your time at Stark Industries is going to be a lot more exciting than you thought and I for one look forward to it.'

'Look I know what I've suggested is crazy Pete, but honestly tell me what's more likely. That when Rogers crashed in the arctic a: he received no injuries in the crash and b: was miraculously preserved in ice. With no physical or brain damage due to the freeze. Or that SHIELD, who we know are dicks and were HYDRA, found the downed plane and either cloned his corpse or physically altered some poor sap and mind wiped him before giving him the memories of good ole' cap. What happened with Barnes shows that it's not like they particularly have morals.'

'I'm not doubting you, Tones. I just think that you could have maybe handled telling the man your theories more, delicately.'

'I know, I know. It's just the thought of him being stuck living a life someone stuck him with just to keep him under their thumb it reminds me of yah know'

'Stane and how he manipulated you?'

'Yes. And the guy should have the chance to get away from that without three months of torture in a cave.'

'It's ok Tony. Bucky's currently dealing with him tonight and I'm sure in the morning if you explain why you dropped the bombshell the way you did he'll forgive you. But for now go to sleep honey.'

'Just sleep?'

'Tony'

Tony hadn't ever been on a double date since he started dating Peter. He'd always preferred the dates he'd take Peter on to be close and intimate, just the two of them. So that brought up the question in his mind. How on earth did he and Peter find themselves on a double date? Much less one with villainous alternate versions of themselves?

Anthony didn't get why this inferior version of himself seemed so nervous. His Peter wanted to go on a double date sometime and, as no one but himself and Peter would be worthy of being the other couple, obviously he went looking for alternate versions of them that were also dating. Honestly didn't this world's Tony and Peter know just what an honour he had given them. Urgh heroes, so fussy.

Summary: With the world falling apart around them and nothing left to really do, Tony and Clint have hunkered down together. It’s left them in a state of limbo, where progress isn’t really being made in life itself. It’s hard to really do anything during societal collapse and without SHIELD. However it does give them time to build a relationship while they wait things out. One currently being expressed through the most intimate moments they can share alone. Whether it’s panic attacks or letting slick drip down his chin, it’s progress.

It was hard for Tony to give up being the Superior. To stop taking extremis and to lock away the endo-sym for good. Because the thought of seeing that look in his love's eyes once more should he become the monster he was easily kept him on the path to redemption he was on. Waking up to Peter every morning though made all his struggles more than worth it.

Your first time with Tony was certainly a night to remember.

Tony sharing his first kiss with Peter. During a lab session together where they make a breakthrough in their latest project together, and the jubilation spurs him to finally make a move on the younger man.
