                         atsumu was so easy to irritate, and he knew that osamu knew that, but for some reason that just made him even angrier at the whole situation.

There’s no rhyme or reason do it, Osamu just looked at Atsumu and thought ‘I gotta kick this guy right now.’                

                       he stumbles forward with a slight wheeze of pain before recovering and turning around, fuming.

                          “ he’s gonna die anyway, why should i even care.., ” he mutters to himself as he reluctantly chooses the option to spare the knight’s life. sure enough, the spared unit soon joined his party and brought a special weapon as well, one that wouldn’t be unlocked any other way.

                            yes, his favorite song was playing. yes, he was singing his heart out after the practive match. no, he did not see tobio standing behind him until it was much too late. mortified, he froze up and pursed his lips shut, a cold sweat forming on his face.

                           maybe it would be too hard for people to deal with the distance that they do, but for atsumu and kiyoko, it just meant that meeting each other would be a rush of emotions that they’ve been holding in for a while. phone calls and weekends together were alright, but it had been about a month of not seeing each other. even now, as atsumu had the phone pressed to his ear, he could hear just how tense and restrained kiyoko seemed to be about his coming back, the slight tremble in her voice whenever he said something a bit too affectionate. 

                            “ breathe in, ” he instructed quietly, a small smile on his face as he thought about the extremely cute face she was probably making.

                             still, even as he says that, atsumu’s nose is stuffy and he can’t help but sniffle and rub his eyes with the back of his wrist. he turns away from shinsuke with another faint sniffle and pauses for a moment, trying to find the right words to say.

                            “ ... stupid, useless ‘samu ate the puddin' cup i was savin’ for after practice. ”
