((ah,,,, yeah, i’d say it’s on a hiatus of sorts. 😭 i’m really bummed to admit it since i really wanted to get to the end of this chapter at least, but it’s been really hard to find the motivation to keep going.

ROMAN: To say that everything is ruined would be the biggest understatement of the century. The others must be so worried but I don’t even know what to say to them because- because it’s my fault Dee quit. He’ll never want to talk with us again and the show will be over and I’ll never-

ROMAN: [Sniffs] ...Nevermind, my regrets stop there. It’s silly to pretend that there’s anything else to be sorry about because there’s not. I always knew Dee thought of me as nothing more than a pest so really this shouldn’t be a surprise.

LOGAN: I- [Hushed] Of course I have concerns. It’s just not conductive right now for me to air them and add to everyone’s stress.

((this is incredibly sweet, thank you so much!! sometimes i feel like my characterizations Aren’t That Accurate, so that means a lot! developing the plots has been the most fun part, so i’m glad you’ve enjoyed it 😭💖 

VIRGIL: Uh… Well. When he explained everything he was really upset, and now he’s-

[Crash]

LOGAN: He’s throwing a temper tantrum with the equipment is what he’s doing! We’ve allowed this to go on for long enough. [Opens the door to the filming studio]

LOGAN: Roman, this isn’t helping anything. Oh for goodness sake- Put down the typewriter! That’s vintage-

ROMAN: Get out!

[A louder crash, followed by a soft chime]

LOGAN: I’ve yet to see any solid evidence that I have been proven wrong, so frankly this is not ‘living in my head rent free’. Besides, Roman claims ‘ghost’ whenever an appliance so much as malfunctions, which makes this turn of events completely unsurprising. As for Dee… Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn’t somewhat disappointed. However I am also concerned; it’s definitely out of character of him to quit so unexpectedly.

VIRGIL: ...I don’t really know what to think. I don’t think Ro is lying, but all of this feels so random. I just want Dee to come back already. If it’s true that there really was nothing there, I want to hear him say it.

((i guess it is pretty subtext because we didn’t get to see much of the elliott situation from virgil’s perspective! here’s his Take:

he feels somewhat bitter about that time in his life because dee and elliott were his first friends, but after they reconnected in high school they would often leave him out (to keep him safe), which made him feel forgotten about. and then when elliott died, dee became pretty distant and wouldn’t really talk about it with anyone. and then virgil witnessed him falling out with remus and completely turning his back on him, even when remus was clearly struggling.

LOGAN: This isn’t exactly ideal, however I’m certain it will all be resolved after everything is given the chance to settle. This isn’t the first time those two have had a spat and interrupted our workflow, after all.

VIRGIL: I dunno about that, it’s never felt this serious. [Groans as his phone goes through to voicemail again] It’d help if Dee would pick up already and tell us what the hell happened.

PATTON: His phone could be dead. The last chance we got to charge them was yesterday, and it’s been a while since then… But if he got a taxi like I said, it’s kinda weird that he’s not back yet anyway.

VIRGIL: Oh fuck, don’t say that. What if he’s planning on going M.I.A?

PATTON: Well- he wouldn’t just leave when Teeny is still in your care-

VIRGIL: But he’d have no problem leaving us, right? From the sounds of it, none of this meant that much to him. [Mutters] I think I’m starting to see a pattern.

REMUS: [Tries to laugh and falters] Despite what Tweedledee thinks, it probably wouldn’t work out anyway. I mean, I don’t even like those Breakfast Club rejects, and most of them definitely don’t like me. So yeah. It’s best that I drop Dee off and wait to see what happens.

REMUS: ...Welp~! I’m bored, so that’s enough of that. Now scram.

DEE: By the way, thanks Re. For everything.

REMUS: Yeah yeah, don’t get all soft and mushy on me now. That’s not supposed to be our thing.

DEE: I know. I mean it, though. I hope you consider what I said about coming back with me. [Yawns] It’d be nice having you around again.

DEE: It’s alright, I think you’ve made your points.

DEE: I’m not aiming to do so but…You made it sound like you want to be left behind.

REMUS: [Shrugs halfheartedly before looking away] Better to start building a wall before anyone gets the chance to fuck you over. Isn’t that what we always said?

DEE: Yes, but that was during a time when the entire world seemed to be against us. Things have changed, and I’m beginning to think that that whole attitude is what landed us in this mess to begin with.
