Lucy : you aren't married .

Gray : well she is my girlfriend.

Lucy : gray ... You didn't even confess .

Gray : ... You know what I'll do that right now .

I promised that I’d do this for you like three days ago so I better get to it since you actually asked me to do it like a month ago

Not even twenty four hours after Gray had proposed to Juvia, she had already started planning everything out for their big day but this didn’t really surprise anyone because technically she’s been planning this out since the day she met Gray.

Everything was going very smoothly with the whole planning process until it was time for Juvia to pick out her wedding dress.

When she was daydreaming about her wedding with Gray before the engagement her main focus had always been about Gray and what he’d say to her, never really about what she was doing or wearing so when the time came for her to pick out her dress , she was completely freaking out, most nights after Gray had fallen asleep Juvia would stay up for hours looking at different dresses and stressing about which ones would suit her, once Gray woke up to Juvia crying because she couldn’t decide if she wanted sleeves or no sleeves.

Finally the day came when Juvia and some of the girls went to the best and biggest bridal shop in magnolia so that Juvia could would have a wide selection to choose from.

Juvia tried on multiple different dresses ranging from mermaid dresses to ballroom gowns but no matter how many dresses she tried on, she just didn’t feel that instant spark whenever she looked at herself in the dresses, of course the girls were saying nothing but kind words about the dresses and how beautiful she looked in them but no matter what they said, Juvia still didn’t feel that spark.

At one stage Juvia had a complete mental breakdown and the girls had to call Gray and give pass the phone to Juvia so that he could calm her done, whatever he had said to Juvia worked though, maybe too much as when Juvia came back out of the stall her face had gone completely red but the girls knew better than to ask her about what he said and apart of them didn’t even want them to know.

After this Juvia tried on another five dresses but the outcome was always the same, the spark just wasn’t there, that was until she had looked outside the wedding shop and seen it.

It was sitting across the street in a charity shop window, and the second Juvia saw it a thousand ideas popped into her head about what she could do with the dress and how to make it absolutely perfect.

The girls had instantly noticed Juvia staring at the worn out dress across the street and instead of trying to persuade her to buy a new dress so that she wouldn’t have to wasted more of her precious time before the wedding, Lucy had immediately went to help Juvia change out of her dress, while Cana had gone to tell the workers that they were finished and Erza had ran to the charity shop to organise the dress.

So that in a matter of fifteen minutes Juvia was over in the charity shop wearing the worn out white ballroom gown that had lost its flowiness but that was what everyone else was seeing, what Juvia was seeing was a perfect ballroom gown with lace and rhinestones on the chest and not even twenty seconds of having the dress on she had decided to buy it because finally, finally she had found her sparkle and although that sparkle wasn’t exactly perfect yet, Juvia knew that by the time the wedding would roll around that it would be absolutely perfect and that’s exactly what Gray told her when he seen her walking down the aisle towards him.

And although it took a lot of blood, sweat and a lot of tears, Juvia felt it was worth it because she was walking down the aisle towards the man she loved in a dress that she loved.
