PARADISE FALLS

                           ❛   ‘Whaddaya say we grab a bite?   ❜   its his way of brushing off the roar that echoed in the pit of his stomach; can’t blame him for trying to play smooth. they’ve been up since light had stretched across the pale blue so that they’d make it to lestallum before night fell. one can’t even begin to comprehend how many times prompto openly stressed about the daemons coming out ( well, maybe ignis can ).    ❛   maybe i can still get a few good shots in along the way.   ❜

                            ❛   It said bop it, and i bopped it.   ❜   brows furrow at the hunk of plastic in her hand as she hands it over to him. she’s obviously not pleased with being told that she LOST by the game itself in only three commands.   ❛   this game is stupid, stiles.   ❜

                             The sun is not kind. it is not welcoming. it is not forgiving. they’ve been at it for quite some time now; minho is at least thankful for the small break they’re taking along the way, though he doesn’t feel any better by the time they’re ready to start moving again.   ❛   it has NOT been ten minutes yet.   ❜   he elicits a groan that cooperates all too well with the roll of his eyes that, yes, he absolutely has to make. runner or not, this was hell, even for him.   ❛   the sooner we get there, the sooner i get to punch these shanks in their damn faces.   ❜

me: i’m going to screaM

                              He’s been eyeing him for the past two minutes now in between his own bites. ITS FRUSTRATING. he knows there’s something on his mind—either thomas doesn’t shut up or he completely shuts down when that’s the case.  ❛  well don’t just sit there and buggin’ stare at it, tommy.  ❜  is he going to ask what’s wrong? no. not yet at least.  ❛  put it in your mouth and swallow the bloody thing.  ❜

                            ❛  This doesn’t make any sense.  ❜  she’s not mad at cora, she’s mad at the four slips of paper stapled together in front of her, covered in erased pencil marks and scribbles of work. ❛  math and english aren’t the same subject, so who was the asshole who decided putting letters in math problems was a good idea? when am i going to use this anyway? i’m not going to be an engineer, i don’t hate myself enough to do that.  ❜

                             If the stench of smoke hasn’t reached her yet, he’s probably in luck, but somehow he doubts it. he wasn’t sure what to do with the turkey, other than leave it on the counter ( to be fair, it wouldn’t have fit in the garbage can anyway so ).  ❛  so you know how i said we should have a late thanksgiving between the two of us, and that i would take care of the food?  ❜  he stands, with his hands cupped together, eyes lingering about her face, waiting for that proverbial eye roll. the sound of their fire alarm makes itself known before that can happen, though. its almost iconic.

                              ❛  Just out of curiosity—  ❜  he’s already on thin ice and he hasn’t even reached the punchline.  ❛  when you wake up in the morning, do you just accept that you’ve given up on life or? because that ball of hair on your head you call a bun is telling me otherwise.  ❜
