This story spans through millenia with no end. It started long, long time ago and who knows whether it will ever end. The story of gullible notion of peace and ruthless war. Of uncomfortable jealousy and blind pride. Of betrayed friendships and undying love.
This story's origin happened so long ago that the beginning got lost to time and rusted memory of the stone. Only one thing is for certain that started it all. One question, one word even.
/Nature/.
What is one's nature? Is it the skin that ones wearing? Is it the tongue ones is speaking? Or is it the spirit one is caring?
This One witnessed this discussion of the lost past. The discourse about nature of things between the wise and the wild. One was a spirit unbound by any flesh, the other was the essence of the very flesh, seemingly restricted to its shape.
"Was it an elf?" asked gentle voice.
No, it was not an elf. There were no elvhen yet.
"A Titan then?"
No, they were not really... the talking type. Maybe amongst themselves they were conducting discussion groups but never really cared to extend the invitation to other... dwellers.
"So what kind of dweller possessed a flesh ?"
A canine one. The Ancient Wolf.
"... you're telling me that a spirit and a wolf entered the tavern one day and started discussing about the nature of things?"

Faux stained glass 'triptych' art of Solas' journey, inspired heavily by the frescoes, art, Veilguard gameplay trailer and of course Nick Thornborrow's amazing The Chant stained glass, as a sort of companion piece to my previous stained art Dragon Age: Trespasser a long time ago (WHERE I SAID I WOULDN'T DO A TRIPTYCH BUT LOOK WHERE WE ARE NOW??)

What is a Big Bang?
A fandom Big Bang encourages writers to produce a new, long piece of fanfiction, with the challenge of a deadline. Each fic will be paired with an artist, who will work with the author to create a new illustration based off of the themes and vibes of that work.
Each pair of participants in this event will produce: One (1) new Dragon Age Fanfic of at least 25,000 words, and one (1) art piece inspired by that fic. You can read more here and in our Event Guidebook.
What does artist participation in the Bang look like?
Artists will sign up by ranking their preference of fanfictions based on detailed idea pitches (example) presented by the writers.
Artists commit to illustrating a new, polished artwork that is tangibly inspired by their assigned fanfiction written during the event.
During the collaboration process, artists stay in regular contact with their writer and work collaboratively on their projects
⤷ Artists are expected to meet all deadlines as indicated in our Event Timeline
What does "tangibly inspired by the fanfiction" mean?
▸ The artwork includes characterts as represented in the fanfiction, OR
▸ The artwork depicts an interpretation of a scene from the fanfiction, OR
▸ The artwork represents a high-level view of the fanfiction in entirety (ex: the kind of image that might be for a book cover)
👉Even if a fic is a modern AU Professor Solas fic, you do not have to depict a modern setting, modern clothes, or even Solas at all. Even if a fic features OCs, you are not required to depict those OCs. You can find a broader view of artistic representation, if you desire.
What does "polished artwork" mean?
▸ Must meet the standard set by the artist's general portfolio of previous artworks
▸ Your work should match the level of effort of a 25k+ word fic
▸ You are not required to be a professional or experienced artist, but you are asked to put in an effort that you would be proud to attach your name to in a public forum.
▸ Polished does not necessarily mean "highly rendered" or "full color"; if the artist primarily works in pen and ink, for example, then a black and white artwork is acceptable.

May I present, my attempt at illustrating the last four pages of Tevinter Nights. 😁 (Also, the first time I'm posting art on here!)

On a personal note though, I can't believe I actually finished it... As it had been a *very* long time since I drew (and finished) anything, let alone a 31 page comic and reading Tevinter Nights again finally sparked my motivation (and the courage to post it lol). So I want to thank Patrick Weekes for helping me overcome this massive art block and over two decades of Case Closed mangas for inspiring me how to draw an overly dramatic "exposing the imposter" moment. 😂 I tried my best to be as faithful to the book as possible and it took me forever, so... hope you like it! :D
