         ‘      ER, NO.     The guys I’m with are    far    too in tuned with how much of a    BADASS    I am to be using simple adjectives like cute. These aren’t cute,    these are dangerous,    these are like prison tats except done in a clean,    domestic and safe environment  ’  Mac objects with clear offence but the look is only written on his face for a split second,    disappearing once the thoughts start spiralling.    He’s more than fragile    -    it’s an illness of the mind that traps him in a perpetual state of wanting to covet that machismo.    Though why it matters to a little kid isn’t even fathomed,   Mac’s fully prepared to treat this little shit like an adult if that’s what he wants.

                 “ SO YOU ADMIT YOU LIKE DUDES? ”  Richie’s brows lurch upwards, having found new ammunition to make things a little more interesting. He wasn’t that sadistic . . . pretty cynical, sure, but he wouldn’t go out of his way to treat people the way HENRY BOWERS has and continues to treat him and his gang of losers.  “ I’m sure whatever you do with your boyfriends is totally done in a clean environment, judging by the shape of your bar. ”  The adolescent’s gaze wanders and he finds himself wandering throughout the place as if it’s perfectly LEGAL for him to be in here. He takes note of every paint chip, every torn stool cushion, and the odor. What was that? CHEESE?? Unsettling, to say the least, but Richie wasn’t as bad as EDDIE when it came to cleanliness. He wasn’t the neatest person, himself. You should see his room. “ Like, seriously, dude, have you ever heard of a fucking mop? ” 

“HONESTLY I THOUGHT I WAS TALKING TO MY REFLECTION before I noticed I was just a little bit uglier than usual. I take it back.”

               Lydia observed him in silence and he fiddled with the camera, even bumping it against his glasses. It caused the corner of her mouth to tug upwards into a slight smirk. He finally did take the picture and she said,❝Well? Satisfying?❞

                      RICHIE STARES, AS IF LISTENING   to some sort of an appeal in a court of law. Was this kid really gonna make him change his so churlishly set mind ??                  Probably, because Richie knew all too well the struggles of being an outcast, though he makes up for it with his overbearing and often times inappropriate behavior. He lets a dramatic   H U F F  escape him and he turns towards the others in his group, clutching the handlebars of their respective bikes. Shit. Richie was gonna be stuck with this kid, huh? A large part of him dreads being left alone with the boy, though he can't say why. Perhaps it's an exaggerated concern. One that will definitely fade in time. ( Sometimes he feels that way around Ben -- it's the absence of a solid foundation in the company of nothing but concrete; shared experiences  &  TIME. 

          “ . . . I guess, WILL . . . ”  he folds with sarcastic emphasis. “ But don't be attracting any unnecessary attention or I'll use you as my human shield, got it? ”

                  “ NOW WHO THE HELL IS  THIS  GUY ?? ”   Subtle, Rich. Real subtle. His bluntness probably speaks louder than his actual tone, though it matches the screwed up look on his face. Just another kid in the Loser’s club, that’s all they needed . . . like they weren’t already a huge walking BOWERS TARGET . . .   “ We’ve reached capacity, sorry, can’t take in any more strays. Good luck, though. If you’re lucky, maybe Bowers’ll only make you wear your ass for a hat. Better than wearing his. No telling where that’s been. ”
