November 1st, 2014 || Boyeon & Jongsuk
Nothing today was really out of the ordinary for Boyeon. It was a slow day like many she had worked through before, but that didn’t help soothe the boredom that came with it. Even most of the animals had succumb to it, all calmed down and some even completely falling asleep. Even she was feeling a strong urge to take a quick nap, but she knew she had to keep an eye on the shop.
Maybe a few people would come in to browse at least. Even though the owner of this place didn’t really like when people just came in to play with the animals with no intention of taking any home, Boyeon thought it would be good for them to interact with someone other than her all day.
Then again maybe it was just too cold and everyone was preoccupied with getting ice cream or something. With both sides of her face in her hands and her elbows propped up on the counter, she leaned forward against it. Her eyes closed as she convinced herself that it would be better if no one came in so they wouldn’t cause the chill from outside to rush in.
Her mind had spoken too soon obviously, because not long before she finished that thought the bell at the top of the door chimed. That combined with the sudden blast of cold air hitting her face had caused her eyes to shoot open.
"Welcome to…" she muttered half of the usual greeting, attempting to lean against the counter and stretch without it being too noticeable. "Actually…you know the name already. It says it right out front."
Jongsuk wanted a small companion, simple as that. He had visited many pet shops around the area, but none of the shops had anything he was interested in. Jongsuk skimmed through pictures on his phone of a lion maned rabbit, chuckling softly.
He continued walking until he saw another pet shop, deciding that this would be the last one he goes to, then he would head home. Quickly walking through the door, he felt the warmth of the store invite him in, turning to look at the girl over the counter.
Her welcome seemed more of a nuisance rather than a greeting. "Oh...Okay. Well I'm looking for this breed of rabbit..." He walked next to the counter, leaning over and showing her his phone. As he turned it, his finger accidentally slid the screen onto the next picture; it was a picture of him holding his nose up like a pig.
