“Their dad was a big San Jose fan so he used to take them to games before we got divorced, Savannah has your jerseys, I think you’re her first crush and Sadie is the same way.” Elena laughed a bit as she smiled “Well thank you, recovery even years on down the road can be hard, temptation is everywhere but I much enjoy to help people in recovery programs rather than being in one.” she smiled “So I was thinking of doing like a food pantry at the Boys and Girls club, food insecurity is taking over so much of the country and even some of my daughters friends their families struggle, do you think it’s something I should bring up to the board?”

“i would greatly appreciate it,” she said. she felt stupid for it happening a second time. “daddy would be infuriated if he found out it happened again.”

“oh goodness, no, i couldn’t let you do that i’ll still happily pay for our meals, i love to support business in town.” Eva said as she looked at her boys and then back at the owner “Eva Delgado but please, we love to come here and my boys are big fans of yours, my eight year old is in a junior hockey league here in town, Wyatt would say hello but I think he’s starstruck.” she said with a laugh

“No way, you own that place? My girls love to eat there, it’s always very good.” the woman complimented and smiled at the man. “Hockey player turned business entrepreneur, I love that.”

“I don’t think she likes my sons very much, we love to come here and never before have we ever had a waitress or waiter raise their voice at my son.” the woman said “He was reaching to get his menu and knocked his water cup down and some got on her pants, complete accident, he would never do something like that on purpose, he’s six, he knows better.”

“oh no!” angel gasped as her keys fell down into a grate. it was her own fault. she’d been swinging them on her finger. she knew better, but she didn’t think anything of it. “damn ittt… well, i’m just gonna have to come up with a good lie for him, this is stupidly embarrassing to admit that it happened again,” she muttered, mostly to herself.

Elena was lost in her own little world, something she did when she was stressed out which is why she found herself wondering through the little bookstore, she picked up a book by Stephen King called Insomnia, Well that’s ironic… she thought to herself and looked to see someone standing next to her.
