Hemlock and daughter scenery
I finally were able to write something more about this ...
Hemlock doesn't dare to move from the spot, even if it happens to be the floor right now, and the rebel punk could be more comfortable on a couch. But what prevents him is the little bundle now currently clinging on him, faint muffled sobs being heard from the girl. Poor thing... She hasn't had an easy time. But he is a little lost with what he is supposed to do now.
Sure, he is the least mature in the band, (Charlie barely being a bit better than him, but not much) so technically speaking, he might know what to do. But not if it is the right moment or not. How does a dad behave and do stuff by the way? He never really had a father figure himself, growing up only with his single mom. Hemlock has only met him a few times, and it wasn't like they kept the contact, both living in different parts of the world. Could say universe in this case.
But well, they cannot stay on the floor for the rest of the day, so he sighs before starting to get up from the floor, and adjusts his grip around Ayleen to prevent her from falling. The girl in other hand just clings more, and stiffens up at the same time, her lifting her head, revealing her sad and worried expression, sniffling while looking up at the rebel. OW... A faint ache throbs through his heart when he sees her face.
"D-dad...?" The girl's voice trembles and sounds weak, but also concerned.
"'s okay, kid. Just gonna..." And he manages to get up, kneejoints aching a little after been in the crosslegged pose for some time now.
"... Head over to my area, or we will have Charlie bein' annoying the #### of us." Hemlock swears, no thoughts to limit those. Not that it seems to bother the child since a small giggle escapes her. "You swore." She says and runs her eyes, the tears being less frequent now. He would shrug if he wasn't carrying Ayleen. "Yeah, so? Been doin' that since I were smaller than you are. And I'm not gonna quit it."
"Swear more?" Ayleen hugs Hemlock again, making him stop for a bit as he had begun to walk towards the big room, seeing Stix at the bar, but he then starts moving again, hurrying past it.
"What the ####? Eh, sure, but only I can say those, you got that? You can start sayin' some of them tomorrow tho." Ayleen nods from where she is hugging him again, hiding her face against his shoulder while they heads to the well... Gaming area. That seems to be turned off. Or unplugged.
"OI!! Who the #### did this? I'll rip their ####### heads off, and then I will take Buzzkill n' saw off their limbs, one after another!"
Another giggle is heard coming from Ayleen who looks at the arcade machines, and then Hemlock.
"You sound like mom when the vacuumer stopped working. She threw it out from the balcony one time .."
Hemlock mutters while glaring at the arcade machines, but pats Ayleen carefully on her head.
"####ing ########... Who the #### did it... Now the high scores will be gone too! ####it..." He also makes an attempt to put her down but Nope. Ayleen clings closer again. She is clearly not ready to let go of him yet...
And truth to be told. The rebel doesn't mind it right now.
