clopin is a member of the romani community, which has been mercilessly persecuted throughout history and is still a target for hate crimes today. the term g*psy is a slur and should not be used by people who are not romani. this goes for other variations of the word, which are listed in this post. as such, i will not interact with people who use the g-slur or any other slurs in their url, casual conversation, or writing.
i myself am not romani, so to anyone who is considering following, please understand that my portrayal will never be a perfect representation because i don’t share my character’s experience. i try to be as knowledgeable / respectful as i can be, and i like to share the information i learn with my followers when possible!
please do not copy my writing, meta, or other original content. do not reblog my in character posts unless they involve you. do not reblog my headcanons or meta. i generally edit my own icons, promos, and other graphics. i do not claim to own any of the original media used in making them.
know that i will always prefer quality over quantity. i don’t like posting things that i’m not proud of and will take time to rework a reply rather than post something just for the sake of getting a reply out. this goes for my partners as well: take as much time as you need!
what happens in character does not always reflect my out of character opinions. clopin and i are not the same person. we lead very different lives, and he can be quite conservative / set in his ways given the time period that he lives in. if you are unable to separate in character from out of character, please do not follow me.
please don’t godmod or metagame. i’m usually fine with my partners writing in minor actions here and there in order to move the story forward, but don’t control my character to the point where i can’t make my own decisions for him when it’s my turn to write. if you want to have clopin do something in your post but aren’t sure whether or not i would be comfortable with it, feel free to message me and ask!
due to the nature of hunchback’s content, this blog will likely be trigger-heavy with mentions of topics regarding religion, xenophobia, genocide, and poverty, just to name a few. everything will be tagged when necessary; let me know if you need something specific tagged and i’ll happily do so. anything considered not safe for work will always be labeled with the general, non-stylized tag for convenience. i will not write mature content with minors, or dark themes with people who romanticize them. no exceptions.
please do not hound me for replies. this blog is subject to sporadic activity and is very slow to reply, both ic and ooc. i only write when the mood strikes. more often than not, your reply is probably sitting in my drafts half-written, but, if some time has passed and i haven’t given your post a like, it’s possible that i didn’t see it. in that case, definitely give me a nudge!
