【Wakana’s Year-End Jumbo Lottery】Broadcast

Don’t forget to tune in! The results of Wakana’s lottery are scheduled to be broadcast on Wakana’s Official YouTube Channel on December 27 at 15:00 (JST). The premiere is in about 40 minutes. I don’t know if the video will be archived so I am making sure to watch it live. If anyone wants to record it just to be safe, please be my guest ^_^ Last but not least, keep your fingers crossed for me and hope that I won one of the cool prizes. I have usually zero luck with this kind of stuff but who knows…

The host reads a few comments that people were able to add to their lottery entries. He picked MINE!!! I said that I will always support her from Vienna. She still remembers me and by now she is sure that I am the same person from the last few streams. Of course I am!! XD Ahhh! *so happy*

Okay, no luck with the poster or the message card. wasn’t one of the winners. :-(

Wakana reads a foreign comment (a Spanish one I think?) and then they talk about how Mexican fans are very passionate and use their body a lot during a live :P

My detailed summary 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→

The girls wonder if there is anything KEIKO would like to ask them and she is like, “yes indeed, I want to know if you like/love girls!” Everyone is taken aback by this question but then Kirara says that she does in fact like girls. KEIKO is very excited to hear that because the next thing she says is, “I really like/love you, Ki-tan!” Needless to say, Kirara is totally smitten with Keiko’s love declaration. Her heart is suddenly beating super fast, she is really embarrassed.

Then it’s time for another little project, KEIKO’s TRAINING. In this section a teacher will appear to teach the girls about one out of three things that KEIKO has always wanted to try: tea ceremony, K-Pop dance and magic. A magician arrives to teach them some magic. He gives us a little show and everyone is amazed as you can probably tell by all the screaming. Before he teaches Keiko a trick he is demonstrating the trick for everyone. He has three books about completely different things. First two of the three books are picked by Tomomi Morisaki. The magician then supposedly reads through the entirety of those two books and memorises their content. Sara gets to choose one of the books while the remaining one (a book about dogs) goes to Kirara Asuka. The magician opens his book, skims through the pages and asks Buruma Konno to tell him to stop on a random page (at first Buruma is too slow and the magician is already finished going through the book but they eventually make it work). He ends up on page 74. Kirara Asuka is then asked to open her book on page 74 and the magician will be able to tell them exactly what is on that page. He says it’s about beagles and what do you know, the page does indeed feature beagles.

The girls are not sure whether to believe this trick or not. After all, he could have manipulated the skimming through the pages process and stopped at a page to his liking and only made it look like he stopped when Buruma told him to stop. Either way, they are curious to see what Keiko comes up with. Keiko goes through two books in lighting speed and “memorises” them, then takes one and stops at page 56 in her book, the other girls open their book on the same page and surprise, surprise, Keiko knows exactly what’s on the page, botan shrimp. YAY, right answer. Ki-tan will also take on the challenge. Same spiel. She masters the trick as well.

In the end the magician explains the trick. You actually only memorise a single page of a single book. and then you have to arrange it in such a way that the other person who will eventually open the book has the book of which you have memorised exactly that one page. You achieve that by pretty much pretending to ask someone to choose between different books but it’s always up to the magician whether he gives the chosen book away or keeps it. This way he can control where the books go. When it is time to skim through a book until someone says stop, you quickly open and then close the book without actually showing where you landed. Then open the book again on the page you want (the page you have memorised in the other book). Or you can do it like Ki-tan who subtly left her finger on the page she wanted to open so once she got the “stop” signal, it was easy to open the desired page. The magician thinks that’s a great idea so everyone should do it like her.
