A simple Pokemon commission for StokeApe, thank you so much! The colors were inspired by citrus fruits, and I used a gold marker for the frames.

You know what to do!
I'm gonna prove a point about polling/voting systems
Let's truly solve the age-old question: Who is the most popular starter pokemon?
Below is linked two polls. They have the exact same options, but they both work differently and one is more enlightening than the other. The former uses the classic "winner take all/first past the post" voting while the latter uses approval voting. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTIONS OF BOTH BEFORE VOTING.
What's your opinion? Vote now: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Tu

These polls will never close meaning if you find this later, you can still vote. But I will reblog this post with the current results at the end of the year.
PLEASE REBLOG TO EXPAND RESULTS THANK YOU

I cant send asks as my side blog i just made tropicaltropius this is so sad;
hello @tropicaltropius! I am also very sad you can't send asks from side blogs ;-; I see the aro flag in your icon and also I believe the diamond/pearl sprite (the best sprite) so I can see you've got some good taste đ
When Tropius flower, is it only where the fruit grows?
While most sprout fruit and in turn flowers under their chins, there are a few who fruit down their spines too, to about where their broad wings start. Often its date tropius, and occasionally you find a grape one who will have vines that flower too, or maybe a passionfruit variant. They usually tend to grow the fruit near and around their heads.

TROPIUS SOLIDARITY!!!
tropius solidarity!!! :D
I've found my absolute all time favourite pokemon. Tropius, ability harvest, moves fly, leech seed, toxic and substitute, held item sitrus berry. I've seen this guy stall entire teams to death and I'm about to get one on Pokemon Insurgence myself! Can you do an analysis on Tropius's design? :D
I can't speak for competitive because it's not my thing, but concept-wise Topius is neat. Sauropods always make for a good design, and the idea of a one that can fly because it has massive banana leaf wings (which is not an exaggeration btw. banana leaves are fucking huge) is awesome. Plus it's neat that people farm these and children enjoy the fruits they produce, which is another fun example of Pokemon mutualism.
The design itself is solid. Aside from the awesome leaf wings, the fruit on the neck and the leaves around the neck flow nicely. The brown is a good neutral base and compliments the bananas and leaves nicely in addition to looking a bit like a tree.
I do feel like the design could've maybe been pushed a hair more though? I just feel like if the emphasis on fruit, I'd like to see more fruit rather than leaves. It feels like the base of the neck in particular could've had more fruit instead of just more leaves or something. I'm also not huge on those leaves by the head or the random line on the neck.
Mostly what I'd like to see is either a regional or a mega for this guy. A regional could play with different types of fruits that are native to the region it appears in, and maybe take typing from said fruits (like a dragonfruit variant that literally gains dragon typing).
A mega (or some other powerup if they don't come back) would also be great to see. Megas naturally exaggerate and multiple features from the base, which was what I was saying with the fruit earlier. Make the base darker for more contrast, add some yellow color to the base of the leaves, give it a long sauropod tail with another bunch of bananas on the tip, add a ring of leaves around the neck/base of the head, put more bananas around the base of the neck... really, it's not hard, and it would look great. Also a shame we never got a g-max with even bigger leaves and fruit.
Overall, a good fruit dino, if not a hair on the plain side due to lack of emphasis on the fruit. Just would like to see more done with it in the future.

TROPIUS
A tropius person is someone who is charitable by nature, and likes to give of their time and efforts to enrich the lives of others, especially children. A tropius person is emotionally stable and self-regenerating, and recovers quite quickly from stress and exhaustion. Despite their casual and unhurried vibe, they are surprisingly capable of navigating a wide array of circumstances. Despite this, it is a tropius personâs preference to indulge heavily in a narrow range of interests and pastimes.Â

What did the explosion of Mt Tambora mean for the pokemon living in the immediate and surrounding area?
Mt. Tambora - the volcano responsible for the âYear Without a Summerâ - had a devastating yet not entirely negative effect on the surrounding area, as well as the global Pokemon ecosystem. Some Pokemon thrived in the aftermath, such as Torkoal. Torkoal populations boomed across Indonesia, particularly in the most affected islands like Lombok or Bali.
Other Pokemon, especially grass and flying-types, didnât fare as well. Tropius populations experienced a dramatic decline, a problem that was only worsened by a rising demand for Tropius fruit - leading to severe depopulation of the remaining Tropius by Dutch colonial authorities. Thankfully, Tropius populations were eventually able to rebound, and today they are thriving across Indonesia.

What kind of pokemon is most common in Zamboanga city? I'm curious cause some relatives live there
As one of the largest cities in the Philippines, Zamboanga City has no shortage of Pokemon, both wild and with trainers. However, by far the most abundant are the water-types - Remoraid, Corsola, and Qwilfish abound in the water off the city's shores, and this city hosts the largest water-type gym in the Philippines. In recent years, the city's beautiful beaches have seen a rise in the mysterious ghost-type Corsola and Cursola, and a decline in the typical rock-and-water-type version - climate change is believed to be affecting Corsola populations across the world.
Horsea, Seadra, and Kingdra reside off the coast here as well - which enabled this city's gym leader to capture their powerful Kingdra which serves as their ace. Overhead, Swablu and Altaria are common visitors to the city, as well as the occasional Tropius. For trainers looking for something more rare, it's worth searching for a Munna or Musharna, which have been sighted on multiple occasions across the city. Catching one, however, is much more difficult.
The most elusive sight in Zamboanga City is Zapdos, which has been known to fly over the city, resulting in several sightings a year. The Filipino government caught their first Zapdos on the Zamboanga Peninsula in 2015, intending to use it for research purposes.
