I can’t lie, there’s possibly some that have managed to trick me but for the most part it’s in the cadence of the story if that makes sense?

AI generated fics usually include:

line by line storytelling. they skip large paragraphs, you don’t get the immersive feeling of a “rambling” sort of story. it reads more like a play script I feel?

you see this all the time in insta/tiktok captions: “it’s not X, it’s not Y, it’s Z.”

the robot’s favourite: “and honestly? *insert something*.”

overall I think there’s a real lack of feeling/emotion/anything human in it. which is a strangely difficult thing to describe in writing but perhaps i’m just basing it off of my own writing style too. I love big, flowing paragraphs. I love rambling inner thoughts and descriptions. AI writing feels very short. snappy. precise. just like this.
