I can't pretend that my ambitions were entirely satisfied by what I was able to execute, but I have no regrets or intentions of scaling back in the future.  Kriste York confirms: "Trifle is folk art" meant to fly in the face of the "ridiculous perfectly decorated cakes that are all the rage."  Cholula to that. 

Things went well at first.  Look at that clock face.  Look hard.  It's the last time you'll ever see it.

I can’t remember exactly when I realized that I needed to make a trifle of the Rolling Stones’ Let it Bleed album, but it was a daylight sober decision, despite the ambitious nature of the project.
