Just tried the companion glitch,
I had so much fun messing around with gang members,
At my first successful try I got John, Hosea, Lenny, Javier and Kieran.
It didn’t last long though because they despawned. But I did have fun with them like when I thought going to Saint Dennis to the stables with 5 other outlaws was a good idea. on the way in John or Javier crushed into some poor guy and he died and somehow that was murder??? tried killing the witnesses but this was Saint Dennis. Almost 15 lawmen came at us and it was a shit storm of bullets and horses flying around.
If you’re gonna try the glitch out I recommend you don’t do missions with cutscenes, your buddies will despawn. Any other missions are alright, like robberies and bounty hunting(with no cutscenes ofc)...etc
On second successful attempt I got Charles, Kieran, Sadie and Lenny.
I had so much fun with them, I was able to do a coach robbery, we shooed off some bounty hunters and did many... outlaw things,
Me being the chaotic player I am, antagonized a random rider on the way just for the sake of it and this idiot decided to pull out his gun on me and immediately had four guns on him, it was so fucking badass (the guy is now dead obviously).
Then I went to an area where I had 300+ bounty on my butt, had a couple of shootouts with at least 12 bounty t hunters. Which I can't stress how absolutely badass that was. Seeing sadie and Kieran kick ass, such an experience.
And Charles was prancing around in gunfights with his bow, murdering the shit out of some bounty hunters.
And with all that I learned some very important things about the gang.
Sadie will pull out her gun at any given chance.
Kieran is an excellent rider.
Charles is not, he fell off like 5 times.
Other things I learned from this glitch about red dead redemption npcs
Companions will greet random npcs back if they say hi
They can get on stagecoaches with you
If they are on a stagecoach with you, They. Will. Complain. There is no winning, you’re going slow? Complains. Oh what you’re going fast now? Oh sorry still complains
If you get chased by predators they will try to kill them
You can ride their horses but can’t stable them :(
After first getting the glitch, your companions will be thirsty for blood; give them a fight, that will stop them from acting deranged.
Anyways I can’t stress how much you should try this glitch, it was soo much fun, especially if you’re into role playing or idk, I like to pretend I have this storyline when I’m playing sometimes.
