The way he clutched his treasured hat. I wanna become stronger! You can hear in Luffy’s voice his brokenness, his heartbreak, his pain. More and more and more and more. I wanna become stronger!

After rewatching this, it broke my heart to hear that from Luffy because he thought he was too weak and he couldn’t protect Sabo so he wanted to get stronger. I thought that I felt the same. I wanna become stronger too. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Don’t we all?

When Sabo was killed, Luffy broke down. He was moping around and cried for days. Then Ace was there to console him. So he became stronger with his brother.

Then when Ace was killed, Luffy broke down again but not the same as when he did when Sabo was killed. This one was much worse. He couldn’t take his only brother left dying so his body shut himself down. Luffy raged war against everything and mostly himself. The guilt and regret building up in him.

Then Jimbei made him remember what he has left.. his crew.. his friends.

You can see in this manga chapter 974, when the Captain Trio finally showed up, they were all wearing what seems to be a captain’s coat.

Underneath his coat is his normal clothes. ⬆️

But the films are not canon.

In the second opening theme song of the Wano Arc “Dreamin’ On” by Da-iCE, Luffy is seen wearing the Captain cloak.

The fanart’s coloring scheme had me doubting at first. Law is seen here wearing a blue feather cloak similar to Cora-san’s cloak (though I did wish Law should’ve worn a blue cloak instead). But upon rewatching the Opening theme song, Law is seen wearing a brown cloak. Unless I guess this was from another scene.

I love how their clothes are also being upgraded (but I think Kid’s coat stayed the same). They all look stunning and they give off this badass vibe.

Although Luffy’s cloak is nowhere as nice as Gol D. Roger’s cloak, I’m pretty sure Oda will give Luffy a makeover sometime near the future. I also think that Luffy’s coat is a bit similar to Shanks’ coat. I’m not sure if this’ll really be his coat or it’s just his clothes for this Arc (like Nami, Robin, Chopper’s “temporary” clothes).

In some cases, Manga Law looks better than Anime Law.

I mean look at those lips. Oda's man lips is just simply *chef's kiss* one of the best.

They rarely show how hot those lips are in the Anime.

Also, I once read a joke theory about when the Luffy-Law-Kid Pirate Alliance began was back in the Sabaody Archipelago.

It began when Luffy punched the Tenryūbito St. Charlos (that ugly and snotty brat) which triggered a sort of small war between the pirates and Navy thus resulting to the Captain Trio teaming up.

The point is, It’s just a Punch a Dragon kind of thing.

Back then: Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon

Now (900+): They’re gonna fight a real dragon (Kaido)

Future: the third time would be when Luffy punches his father...

(cause yknow.. his dad’s name is Monkey D. Dragon... get it? Get it? Hahahahahahahahaha. It’s a joke, guys. Laugh.)

Back to the topic..

I’m not saying I prefer Manga Law over the Anime Law, I love Law whichever he’s drawn as.

I just love how handsome, fierce, and intimidating he looks in the Manga.

Law aside, to prove my point that Oda’s man lips is simply one of the best..

Law was having a flashback in this scene where he and Robin were talking about the Will of D.

Here, Law asks if the only way to know about the will is to follow the Poneglyphs. Robin answers: to do that the Yonkō must be beaten.

Since Law wants to know about the Will of D (by finding the Poneglyphs which the Yonkō prolly have), and Luffy wants to be the Pirate King (that means beating all the Yonkōs) they both now have similar goals.

The Captain Trio needs to defeat the two Yonkōs: Kaido and Big Mom who are in Wano. And since both of those Yonkōs have also decided to have an alliance, the fight is gonna last longer and it will be harder than the fights they have fought before. But of course, like any other fights, it will come to an end plus knowing Luffy, he will win those fights and victory will be much much sweeter than they have ever tasted or experienced.

Also, Luffy has the copies of the first two red Road Poneglyphs all they need now are two more. Their first red Road Poneglyph was from Zou inside the Whale Tree, the second was from Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph which Brook copied. The third one is in Kaido’s territory which Law is trying to find in the basement but the biggest mystery is the fourth Poneglyph. No clue about it yet, just that it was once in Fishman Island but was relocated (I think?).

Wano Arc will set One Piece’s future. It will be the turning point of OP. Oda will reveal so many things here in Wano Arc. I think I read somewhere that a clue about the One Piece will be given in this Arc.

Thus why Luffy and Law’s alliance will stay longer and why Law will have more screen time. All this also hints that Law is unlikely to betray Luffy. Back in Punk Hazard, Luffy asked if Law will betray him and Law said no, then Luffy said that in case Law does betray them, he has his nàkámá with him who also trained for two years.

And since Luffy beat Doffy (Doffy wasn’t in their original plan, what they wanted was for Kaido to beat up Doffy), all of those things also worked out in Law’s favor in the end. In addition to that, they have a Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance and they all share the same goal as of the moment. It just won’t do Law any good if he betrays them (cause yknow, betrayals are known throughout the Pirates). Anyway, here’s to hoping their alliance and friendship will set sail smoothly!!

Law carries Robin bridal style. It’s just unexpected. I guess this is what you call fanservice.

After the Dressrosa Arc, on the way to Zou, riding Bartolomeo’s ship, Robin went to talk to the lone Law about what he plans to do next since his goal of defeating Doffy is done (or something along the lines). This is how he responsed: He smiled, left and told her not to worry about him.

If you've already watched One Piece before, you probably know how good Law is at acting.

Although a filler, in the Caesar Retrieval Arc, Law figured out Breed's weakness. Law went along with Breed's orders until they find an opening.

In the Dressrosa Arc, he pretended to be dead, switched places with a real dead person, waited to tell Luffy his plan and launched his strongest attack yet (Gamma Knife).

In the Wano Arc, one of Law's best troll moments was when he misguided Luffy regarding Kin'emon's supposedly death.

I mean compared to Luffy (who can't even lie 😂), I'm pretty sure Law is good at acting.

It just shows how much Law loves sticking to his plans.

Law is also a sneaky troll. Throughout the anime you'll see that Law is also making fun of the other characters. Like that time when Law purposely called Usopp as "God" (after Dressrosa Arc) which of course made Usopp flustered and then only to tell him that the Navy's probably onto him now, which obviously made Usopp scared. Another time was when Law called Chopper Raccoon-ya (knowing Chopper doesn't like to be called Raccoon), even after Chopper told Law not to call him Raccoon, Law called Chopper Raccoon-ya for the second time. Of course, like the one mentioned above in Wano, when he mislead Luffy that Kin'emon was dead. And here like the one above, you can see Franky complaining that it's getting smoky then Law retorts that it was him who did it, Franky then says that Law made him do it. It’s just a fun throw of conversation.

I'm just glad that Law is starting to warm up to the Straw Hats throughout their adventure to Wano. It's really nice to watch his change. But of course you can see that Law is so much more stressed now than he was before the time skip. Like I said Law, you don't know what you're getting into. Hahahahaha
