trevor: that reminds me. hayden kissed me.

alcohol ran through his veins. everything was a bit hazy. some of the faces, equally as red as his own, were familiar enough. he recognized them as regulars in mocha and others were seemingly very well off. it didn’t at all surprise him considering the place. it was gorgeous. his one bedroom apartment could fit at least five times. though, he found this lifestyle overkill. he was just about to grab ANOTHER drink before his eyes landed on her and her hand.  “god dammit.” that’s all he managed. it was soft and mostly to himself. he’d gone over and beyond avoiding her. he merely nodded in response, understanding. he felt a little like he was on a boat and didn’t prepare with dramamine. trevor wanted to stay quiet. everything in him was screaming to do  “yeah, well, well…. so do i…” he huffed, his chest practically puffing. “just so you know… you suck…” mostly because he was incapable of getting their kiss out of is head. “and you’re a terrible kisser…” she wasn’t. 

' just friends ' he'd uttered those words at least a dozen times. each time more emphatically, sometimes with an eye-roll. though, his efforts to move his hand from HERS? they were nonexistent. it was a conundrum that he had no intention of figuring out. swallowing hard, his gaze shifted between hers and the piece of green shrubbery. “oh...?” his echo was just that-- with even less uncertainty. before he had the chance to mourn the absence of her hand, something he'd berate myself for late, he felt her lips against his. it was fleeting. so completely unexpected and strangely hayden. “uh yeah...” he squeaked out, confusion evident in his voice. he was in a daze essentially. by some struck of luck, he leaned in once again before she'd moved away. unlike her, he just stayed there. lightly testing the waters, his lips lingered catching the subtle taste of peppermint.

as of late, it was really starting to get to him. being away from her had never particularly bothered him. no more than anyone else, or that's what he'd avidly told himself. however, he was genuinely beginning to detest it. that's exactly why he'd come back from nyc much earlier than planned. with hot cocoa in one hand, hers in his other, he walked down the street. a wide smile pulled on his lips. trevor was more content now than he had been in what felt like ages. “okay but listen... i'm telling you that she was like...” he stopped mid-sentence. dark browns darted above them. he'd been so lost in conversation that he hadn't noticed. mistletoe. those cheeky little shop owners. “do they really think that works,” he asked, forcing out a nervous laugh. @haydeniism

“I’d say Tatooine but I don’t like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere...”
