Sieun:Ā I have very few things I care about. Youāre at the top of that list
Suho: Aw
Sieun:Ā The rest of the list is methods of killing people who think they can take you from me again
Suho: .....AW
I think that just because Suho is now awake doesn't mean Sieun would stop constantly worrying about him. I can imagine...
Sieun canceling plans just to see Suho. There is no particular reason - he just misses him, even though he saw him yesterday. He can't focus well when he's out with Baku, Gotak, and Juntae at first, his eyes always drifting towards the clock.
Sieun spending holidays with Suho at the hospital. Bringing him as much food as he is able to - some of which he learned to make himself.
Sieun crying from stress and frustration when Suho has a stretch of bad days and can't get through rehab. His friends at school worrying about him but knowing not to overstep. Suho always lighting up when Sieun walks into his hospital room, even though they argued the day before.
Sieun lying awake at night because he wonders if maybe, just maybe he did something good in a past life for Suho to wake up.
Sieun and his friends planning a trip to the beach to surprise Suho when he is discharged from the hospital. Always wanting to look out for him the way he did for Sieun. Wanting him to have happy memories from now on.
I FEEL VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY NORMAL ABOUT THIS
I used to think that if there were a season three of Weak Hero, that Suho would immediately want to have Sieun around all the time.
But now that I think about it, I wonder if it would be more in-character for him to not want to be too dependent on Sieun. Season one showed us how much Suho had to grow up fast without relying on anyone. We rarely saw him in any emotionally vulnerable position.
So I wonder if Suho would not want Sieun to see him weak or having to lean on him while he's recovering in the hospital. Didn't the director say that he would have waited for a week after waking up before contacting Sieun?
I'm thinking that Sieun would try to see him after school every day, but Suho would tell him to only come around certain hours (when he isn't tired). Just so that he wouldn't worry about him.
"Who would want to come to the hospital every day?" he would ask Sieun.
"...What if I want to?" Sieun would reply, following him as he rolled himself away in his wheelchair.
But that wouldn't stop Sieun from bringing him his favorite food, from asking his doctors and therapists more questions in private. From hounding Baku, who quickly gets close to Suho on his own and visits him too. And nothing would stop their dynamic from going back to the way things were.
"You better not be skipping cram school to see me! You're still number one in your class right?"
"...Yeah. But I have no problem studying here. It's quiet. Except when you talk."
"Hey...."

i don't think we're ready to talk about the reality of suho's life after waking up
i know weāre all overjoyed to have suho back, but i donāt think weāve talked enough about the trauma and maladjustment heās going to face post-coma. likeāthis boy hasnāt used his body in two years. his legs are going to feel foreign. his balance, stamina, even the act of walking up stairs, itās all going to overwhelm him. heāll get frustrated trying to open a jar, drop something, and just break down. and whatās worse is the emotional weight that comes with it.
everyone around him has moved forward. sieun has new friends. theyāre seniors now, talking about college, about leaving. and suho? heās stuck two grades behind. that would mess with him. heād feel left behind, lost. heāll get jealous of the bond sieun shares with the others, even if he doesnāt want to be. heāll cling to sieun like a lifeline, terrified when heās not around, throwing a tantrum after finding an acceptance letter for sieun from a foreign university.
he'd flinch at loud noises & get triggered when fights break out. he'll snap at his grandma for fussing over him, then immediately crumble with guilt, because it used to be him taking care of her, not the other way around. he used to be strong, cheerful, the protector, and now he feels like a burden. and worst of all, he hates himself for it. hates that sieun, who once relied on him, now has to see him like thisāa shell of who he used to be.
and sieun? heād be shattered. watching his guardian angel struggle, the person who once pulled him out of the darkness now drowning in his own. but heād stay. heād hold suho through the breakdowns, reassure him through the jealousy, quietly adjust to the mood swings, and never make him feel like too much, even when it is. because sieun loves him too much.
Suho: When Sieun is mad at me, I tighten the lids on all our jars, so he has to ask me for help
*sound of glass shattering in the other room*
Suho: It doesn't always work, though
Once again, I'm here talking about Weak Hero Class...
I've been re-watching Season 1, and it's becoming easier to see from the beginning why Sieun and Suho would inevitably become close, while Beomseok was never going to share the same relationship with either of them.
If you really watch how Suho and Sieun interact in the beginning, they become close because of how brutally honest they are. This is especially one of Sieun's most endearing qualities, and is something that draws most of the characters all the way to Season 2 to him (even Seong Je and Baek Jin are fascinated by Sieun because of how bold he is).
In fact, he is so honest that he is actually unimpressed with Suho and his charisma at first (e.g. his reaction after the baseball team fight).
However, Sieun also quickly recognizes that Suho has a hard life. After watching him work his delivery job, he studies in the dark to give him time to rest. When they eat together, Sieun asks Suho why he sleeps at school, and learns that he is committed to finishing high school because of his grandmother.
Later, while helping Suho at his restaurant, Sieun asks him if he has multiple jobs, and asks him, "Isn't it hard?" This is one of the few times we really see Suho in a vulnerable moment, as it seems to catch him off guard. Was there anyone else who had ever asked him that before? He turns away and says, "It is what it is," then opens up that he actually has yet another job as a mover on weekends.
At that moment, it clicked for Suho that Sieun wanted to know him. That he was curious about his life and his thoughts, and understood that he was struggling to make ends meet. Suho is also comfortable enough to jokingly ask if he respects him more now; he knows that Sieun is not looking down on him or feeling sorry for him - he is simply being sincere in his desire to get to know him.
Meanwhile, Beomseok becomes interested in Suho after hearing how popular he is, and after hearing rumors of him being an MMA fighter. Even though we see him desperately wanting to be Suho's friend, we don't actually see Beomseok asking him questions about his life, and truly wanting to know him in the way that Sieun does. Later on, we actually see Beomseok use his economic struggles against him after confronting his old school bullies ("Do you want me to pay your wages?"). Due to his own insecurities, he is unable to comprehend that someone as confident and charismatic as Suho could be struggling through hardship too. This clearly hits a nerve with Suho and is a major turning point in Suho and Beomseok's friendship.
May add more to this later, but these are my thoughts on one of many reasons why this trio faced the fate that they did.
visions are being seen and thoughts are being thunk

thinking about that final scene in weak hero class 2 again and itās just... wrecking me. the way suho looks at sieunāso casual, so soft, like no time has passed at all. like theyāre just picking up a conversation from yesterday. thereās no anger, no grief in his voice, just quiet warmth as he asks about sieunās friends. and itās such a simple question, but it matters. it means something. because suho knows sieun. knows how alone he used to be. how hard it was for him to let people in.
and then sieunāgodāhe says yes. yes, those are my friends (in his own way, of course). and suho smiles. like really smiles. not because he thinks itās about him, but because heās genuinely happy that sieun wasnāt alone while he was unconscious. because the boy he once stood beside, fought beside, nearly died beside, actually found someone else to hold him up when he couldnāt do it anymore. suho missed so much, lost so muchābut in that moment, you can see the relief settle in his eyes. like maybe the world didnāt completely fall apart in his absence.
meanwhile sieun is just barely holding it together. his eyes are glassy, lips trembling at the edges, and you know heās been carrying so muchāgrief, guilt, rage, lonelinessāall of it, knotted up and buried beneath that dead-eyed stare heās worn all season. and now suhoās awake. suhoās alive. and sieun doesnāt have to hold it all by himself anymore.
and then it happens. he smiles. not the bitter kind. not the tight, polite kind. a real one. full and genuine and so achingly familiar. the same smile he only ever gave suho in class 1āpure and light and a little boyish, like he forgot for a second that the world hurt. and in that one look, you remember exactly who he used to be. who he still is, somewhere under all the blood and bruises and loss.
itās such a short scene but it says everything. they found each other again. maybe broken. maybe changed. but not beyond reach. never beyond reach.
Weak Hero Class 2 (2025)
he š has š someone š who's š waiting š for š him š
suho is literally everywhere in whc2. heās in the boy sleeping at the table in the back of sieunās new classroom. heās in gotak, teaching juntae to fight. heās in bakuās touchiness and fierce protectiveness. heās in juntae, who talks with his mouth full. heās in the boxing ring sieun sits in the corner of in his dreams. heās in sieunās sleepless nights and his evenings at the hospital. in gotak and juntaeās persistent doorbell ringing that sieun hears from his bedroom, and the split-second spark of hope in his expression that it might be suho. heās the driving force when the time comes for sieun to make a crucial decisionāto help juntae, to refuse to fight at first, but then do it in the end still, to accept the boysā friendship, to let fun and laughter into his life again, to wake up from his well-deserved sleep and go back to his friends and suho. heās in the way sieun smiles differently around his new friends, and that familiar smile at the very end that he only saves for suho.
while the narrative keeps suho alive through these subtleties and implicities, sieun keeps his spirit alive explicitly. he goes to him, he talks to him, he writes to him, he lets himself be led and taught by him, despite his unconscious state. heās still sieunās best friend and his guiding light. heās his heart and his home. he is all over whc2, and not as a ghost haunting the narrative, but as the soul of sieunās story.
I always wondered what suho would have done if sieun were the one who fell into a coma :(
in my opinion, anon, if sieun ended up in a coma, suho wouldnāt fall apart the same way sieun did. he wouldnāt send desperate texts begging for him to wake, nor would he break down visiting with grief in his eyes. he wouldn't stop eating, he wouldn't lose sleep. no, suhoās way is different.
heād show up every day like clockwork, sliding into sieun's hospital room with a kind of casualness that almost feels like denial. heād drop his bag, pull up a chair, and start talkingāabout the cafeteria food, the ridiculous homework, some customer at his delivery job? things he used to talk to sieun about. things that kept the world tethered.
āyou're still not talking to me? rude,ā heād say with a mock-annoyed voice, though no oneās there to hear it.
heād fill the silence with his voice, like they were just hanging out; suho yapping, sieun quiet ā their usual dynamic. like nothingās broken. maybe heād bring snacks, or games, or books sieun liked, but mostly, heād just be present. no tears. no desperate pleas. just steady, stubborn presence.
because for suho, absence probably wouldn't be about waiting for a miracle. itād be about holding the space where sieun used to be, refusing to let it vanish.
HOWEVER, the other side of suho? the side that wants revenge? what would he do? he wouldnāt lose control like sieun did. thereād be no blood trails, no shattered windows, no violent echoes through the halls. no screams, no raging outbursts, no expulsion letters from school. because suho doesnāt erupt like sieun.
think about the last time sieun got hurt? suho didnāt rage. he didnāt scream or flip desks or smash a dumbbell on a foot or stab pens into arms. he gathered names like pieces on a chessboard, lining them up on a rooftop like a teacher calling roll. then he broke them ā one by one ā methodically, like ticking off errands. when it was done, he took a photo. less of a threat, more of a proof. and sent it to beomseok with one cold line: answer the phone or iāll kill your friends.
he learned that youngbin hurt sieunās hand, so suho found him, pinned him down, and crushed his fingers underfootānot with anger, not with haste, but with a casual quietness, like putting out a cigarette. like procedure.
so if sieun were taken from him ā if sieun were lying in a hospital bed, unconscious and unreachable ā suho wouldnāt collapse. heād organize.
a car sliding off a road in the rain. a bottle of pills emptied too suddenly. a missing poster curled at the corners, fluttering on a telephone pole. there would be no pattern. no evidence. just absence. and suho would still be at schoolāon time, composed, making eye contact in the hallway. like everything's normal.
because this wouldnāt be revenge. it would be removal.
sieun fights like something cornered: raw, furious, desperate to be seen. suho cuts like frostbite. he's silent and precise. by the time you notice, itās already done.
suho would always say "let's not cross the line," but he would, for sieun. and the most insane part is that suho wouldnāt even think he crossed a line. heād believe there was no line left to cross.
because sieun was the line.
without him, thereās only silence. and a ledger of names waiting to be crossed out.

A lot of people seem to think Sieun's and Suho's relationship is just sweet and lovey dovey and nice, and completely miss the darker, violent side of their connection. For hurting Sieun, Suho breaks Yeongbin's hand like nothing and sits there completely unbothered while that boy cries in pain at his feet. For hurting Suho, Sieun smashes Wooyoung's ankle with a dumbbell and leaves him screaming on the floor, utterly uncaring. Both are capable of great violence and are deeply obsessed with each other to the point of unleashing it on others with no fucks given.
Su-ho-ya. Iām sorry I forgot everything you taught me. How great it is to have friends. How nice it is to laugh. What you did for me, I want to try doing that for others.
