“Well it is more about being caught in an embarrassing situation…” there was a small shy chuckle as the waitress started to calm down a bit until the things for her hair was brought up. The pink came back though not as strong.

“Aa… I had an… incident, so now that my hair has grown back out I thought maybe I should try putting it up in a more proper style,” after all it was not exactly proper even if she had been so used to leaving it down to cover her neck. “Try to fit in a little more than I have.”

“Oh I see! I usually have my hair up when working with my father...” Suzume said understanding as she normally wore dull clothes for work unless she was just dealing with customers in her mothers stead.

“Ne?” Rei squeaked and hid the hair brush and accessories a bit, jumping up and smiling. Well this was embarrassing to be seen fussing with her looks when she was supposed to be working. “Ah, well, nothing important…”

“Please sit anywhere you would like,” expecting the other to be a customer, cheeks a bit pink from being caught off guard. “Is there a tea you would fancy?”

Ah well so much for trying not to scare her...

“Well it can’t really be nothing if you looked that upset over it...” Suzume said in a timid tone, she didn’t want to be nosy but she also wanted to help if she could. 

Episode 1:

"Who were they again?"

"What is the problem?"

"Whose side are you on anyway?"

"Please, stop this nonsense!"

"Have you been on patrol?"

"You don't need to push yourself like that."

"Thank you for the feast."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"My muscles are just so glorious that my shoulder accidentally bumped into yours."

Episode 2:

"Did you find a very nice sword?"

"A sword's one and only purpose is to take your foe's life."

"Please, stay away from me!"

"This is hardly the time for that."

"There is absolutely something I must tell you. Will you hear me out?"

"You were able to stand your ground against more than ten ronin."

"Even if I am physically away, my heart will always be here. That is something that will never change."

Episode 3:

"Why in the hell are you so popular with the ladies!?"

"You're a lady killer!"

"I thought I would take a look at your way of life."

"I bet you pulled a fast one on her, didn't you?"

"When that time comes, I will slice open my own stomach."

"I merely gave him a thrashing since he couldn't bother to apologize after running into me."

"Captain, is all well?"

"Men shouldn't make excuses for themselves."

"Let's go, you're coming with me."

"Sure, will you pay?"

志 — “Haah?” The ungraceful sound left his lips at the girl’s question. Lift? Wait, then was he not going to be used for ‘those’ activities? His mind circulated the possibilities once more. No, he was going to be used as the grunt workers who transported them! That had to be it! 

But at the second part the swordsman paused, head tilting to the side. Work off what he broke? So then, it’d only be a temporary gig. Shichisaburo shook his head vehemently. Even if it was only for a short while, he’d be helping in such a horrible crime. What would his mother say if she saw him now? Bless his heart. 

“Ah, what if I just do some of the work ‘round your shop? I ain’t one for tricking folk much anyways; much too honest my Ma always said!” Words spilled from nervous mouth. Calloused fingers tangled with brown locks as he rubbed the back of his neck. 

“...” 

What was he blabbering about now? What kind of business did this guy think the ran here? And what was he saying about tricking people? She only was asking how much he could lift so he could help move either their deliveries or to carry wet clay to the shop.
