This might seem a weird ask, since I'm posting it across all my tumblrs...
By day I work a niche customer service role. I enjoy it, my work is fairly rewarding and - compared to most in my industry - it's fairly well-compensated.
By downtime I'm a geek, indulging my love of science fiction and related minutiae - this in a nutshell is why I'm on this hellsite!
But the rest of my time, photography is my passion and has been for almost 20 years. Mainly landscapes, but also travel, and cityscapes, and I've dabbled in many other genre along the way...
Right now my focus is on highlighting the unseen - or almost invisible - human impact on some of our environments, and leaving it open to viewer interpretation as to just what our impact has been on that particular landscape, and whether it's good or bad. As a photographer and an artist I like to present the question, and the answer lies with you, the viewer.
But I struggle with what I should post, both here and on dedicated sites like behance and insta... I want to know what people most want to see. Like do you just want pretty snapshots of mountains or lakes or animals or food, or something that only belongs on the 'gram, or do you want something evocative or uncomfortable... I'm dying to know!
(For some context I live in Scotland, and that fact informs 95% of my photography!! (until I win some money at least!!))
So I'm not asking for likes, or reblogs... I'd just like your comments or messages - what sort of photography would be most likely to engage your interest, and why.
Thank you for reading this post!
(should mention my other big passion is walking (hillwalking and trails), so hey if you want walk reports with pictures I guess I can do that too...otherwise I'll continue walking for cardio, stress relief, or for ecological reasons (as a national trust for Scotland volunteer))
