I had that EXACT Doodle Bear! I actually thrifted it in college back in the late 2000s. I gave it to my young niece.

I just want to add on with a little tangent- if you are vegan, vegetarian, or just like quinoa, there are ways to get it ethically that support farming communities directly! One way is to buy quinoa produced in the US (it’s being grown in Colorado and a few places in the Pacific Northwest), which reduces the amount of fuel needed to get it to you- if you live in the US, of course! If you don’t, many other regions are growing it too. Another way you can directly support farmers is by buying from brands like Alter Eco. They have environmental justice built into their mission statement and they work with local co-ops to create  environmentally and financially sustainable agricultural practices that prioritize traditional farming methods rather than western factory/industrial farming. There’s other brands like this too! So you can have your quinoa and eat it too, along with a biiiiiig side helping of fuck PETA.
