๐ผโ๏ธ๐พ reposted from @fridmangallery Balancing between abstraction and realism, Haitian-Canadian painter Laurena Finรฉus [@laurenafineus] captures a liminal, evolving landscape as a metaphor for our enduring quest for freedom.
Finรฉusโ new body of work unfolds in dialogue with Marie Vieux Chauvetโsย ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณย and the figure of La Femme Dรฉsordre (The Disorderly Woman), staging a quiet rebellion. Silenced yet seething, composed yet volatile, her anti-heroine interrogates the construction of the role of a โrevolutionary heroโ, often stripped of desire, or contradiction.
Join us this Sunday, May 31, for a special performance by ๐๐ฐ๐บ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ( @takensemble ), one of the worldโs premier ensembles for innovative electro-acoustic music.ย
The concert will take place withinย ๐๐ถ๐๐๐พ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐๐: ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐
