And that is one hell of a good question! For somebody who everyone else is supposed to know is precious (because of your whole running around and shouting at people to keep her alive right before your 'death' thing), Ava sure has been through a whole lot of shit! It's almost like she's an actual person who suffered from the abusive system you built and not just a vessel who exists for your plans alone, up and ready to go at any moment you call.

Now they were both very uncomfortable. Ava was distressed over it, but Creator had simply gotten used to watching her life unfold while in her body. So this felt.. wrong. Or perhaps there was another reason, that has gone unaddressed.

Either way, the events unfold quickly, and the Watchers already know how this went. The Creator is still in Ava's body, watching her live her life as it is actively happening.

Is it stuck here forever, now? W... Can I go back? She is just talking to the Archivist and Athena now.

Ava looked at Athena. "I'm just glad someone's still here. Besides Callie, Ava here is the only person I've spoken to in.. a while." She gestures a hand at the Archivist as she speaks.

If I get Archivist to stay, do you promise to not change her body, conjoin us or- or whatever else..? I can be her crew member without intervention. Probably.

She could ask Archivist to teach her embroidery.

The second point. Was that you and Archivist are dealing with issues to similar that you don't even realise it. And you both take eachother's struggles around being vulnerable and making friends and accepting help as rejection, which it isn't. Both of you are just afraid of being a burden. And it ends up in both of you feeling rejected and abandoned which just.. sucks. Really badly.

I'm sorry that it came out in the form of a shout. I was trying not to intervene, but, god, the misunderstanding was killing me. Not literally speaking.

There is a lot going on. So she takes Archivist's advice and breathes. "I don't have control over what they do, and it sounds like a choice but.. I don't think it is. Watchers do whatever they want."

Her attention directs back to Athena. "I haven't seen you in.. weeks? Where is Lyre and Ianus? I haven't seen them either."

Now it's Callie's turn. I wish you weren't in my head, sometimes...

Now, Callie just sounds like she's going to cry.

Ava isn't really sure what to say in response to that. She's so confused. And tired, she realizes. Being a plushie didn't count as rest. "It's okay Callie." We all make mistakes.

"You should.. I mean. I don't know. I don't know if I actually have a choice, in the matter. I can't remember-" Ava is trying to focus on what was said before.

Ava blinks. She's distracted again. "Athena?"

"They're-" is this going to be her choice? Does she ever get a choice? "I.. don't know. How to-" This one makes her feel terrible. Because she does want Archivist to stay, and if she keeps her too long.. what will it do? Is what the watcher might do- is it her fault?

Archivist is a Captain. A good one, at that. So, she should just listen to the right person. Don't get mad. Please, don't get mad. "I wanted you to stay.. and then one of themselves started talking about Ianus and Lyre being the same person, I think... And- and how nobody would notice with us."

It's still unclear to Ava why she was just yelled at by Callie. But, it had the effect of her not being able to recall details at the moment.

"I just don't want to-" What, be a bother? You've already done that. You cried and you can't help Archivist at all. You're selfish and worthless.

Is that Callie? Why is she.. yelling?

A lot of the words are lost to Ava. All she knows is someone is yelling at her and she is very.. scared.

Does Archivist hear the watcher yelling? Or.. is Callie just yelling at her? Doesn't matter to Ava, at the moment, she's trying to focus on calming her heartbeat.

Lyre and Ianus tried having their bodies melt into one. You wouldn't even be able to see it from the outside if you did the same thing.

Forcing her to stay is cruel, though. And morphing their bodies together sounds horrifying. The watchers really do care about her, don't they? Ava doesn't really like it. She wants people to stop caring about her, because for some reason that meant hurting her chances at good things.

"Yeah. You.. should.. maybe leave then? Actually- first can you- can you tell me how to talk a watcher down from doing something stupid?" Maybe Archivist didn't have to leave if they could just stop the watcher? Ava could find them something to do that didn't involve their bodies melting together! Probably.

She dropped her hands again, and looked back at Archivist. "Sorry. Watchers. Did- did you need more blankets? Or- there's a lot here! I can get you a lot of things, I can be-" I can be very useful, believe me! "..helpful."
