why did they give louis and claudia sa traumas so they can relate it to lestat when armand was right there (not to mention how louis’ was a one off line and immediately brushed off). why did they make incestual/parental abuse a huge theme in the same season marius gets introduced and not expand upon that with marius and armand to show another interesting parallel between lestat and armand. why was armand not in the round table of characters who had significant relationships with lestat. why did they have lestat mock armand being a child sex slave in a concert and armand post revenge porn of lestat and his mother only to never expand upon the repercussions or the characters’ feelings about it except for lestat having a panic attack and getting consoled by louis. why did the one time someone acknowledge armand’s csa and slavery without making a quip about it have to be the result of armand brutally torturing someone he’s abused and being used as a mouthpiece for the writers’ antiblackness and victim-blaming rhetoric while the character who made a humiliating spectacle out of his being a child sex slave in a concert gets not even a confrontation about it. why do they not gaf about lesmand and armand for that matter so much that they badly fumbled what could’ve been the narrative foils of all time and clarity on why lestat and armand feel the way they do about it each other
