I'm genuinely curious but im sorry I do NOT have the attention span to read all of that 😭😭😭
that's fair honestly give me a sec to make you a bullet point list of the points in the posts i just reblogged
- the 7 million jews in israel would need to go somewhere if one is to "give it back" to the palestinians and hamas [as it is not safe for them to remain there; their options would be leave or die]
- you can totally criticize israel, but targeting the only jewish sanctuary state specifically to criticize is Weird /neg
- other countries have done things that are worse; would you say that the usa should not exist because of what it has done to so many marginalized people & that everyone who is a us citizen should leave so native americans have it back?
[also, that's not even a good example, because jews and judaism are from the area around israel. it's not like we originated in england or japan or smth]
- people haven't unlearned antisemitism; when covid started, there was a lot of hatred of chinese people going on. there's a lot of latent antisemitism present that people haven't unpacked, and they see saying that as an attack
tldr for this if this is too long also:
- where would the israeli jews go? it's not safe for them to stay there if israel is dissolved
- why hate israel specifically?
- other countries have done worse things and are not attacked like this
- people haven't unlearned antisemitism, and don't realize that they haven't, and get defensive when accused of it
does this help? /genq
