Okay here’s the thing:
- If you don’t like oatmeal with almond butter, don’t eat it
- If you don’t like running, don’t run
- If weight lifting isn’t your thing, that’s okay
- If you can’t afford Gymshark, Alphalete, Lulu Lemon, that’s cool too. Use what you have.
Do not let social media convince you that there is a specific way to be healthy and fit. I get caught up in it myself. I have the self-talk of “I should be doing that specific workout because she is” or “my mile-splits are x mins off of hers, I’m not a real runner.” There’s nothing wrong with seeking guidance and inspiration but at the end of the day you should make your fitness journey about you what works best for you. Our bodies are different, our mindsets are different, our preferences are different. Different doesn’t equal wrong. Do your thing.

Really sick...
....After I felt much better yesterday. Went even for the dance class in the evening.
Shortly after I arrived in the lab my blood pressure went down. My body shaked, my skin got cold and sweaty, couldn't walk in a normal way. My PI sent me to the docbut I went first to my boyfriend and got some rest. The doc figured out I have a bladder infection...lol that wasn't a surprise. After the infection is gone I will have a full body check out if I have maybe a wheat or gluten insensitivity. Gosh sometimes my belly looks like 6 months pregnant. Last time was clear the reason was the pizza the day before.
Now for 5days no alcohol.

My stomach is a pain in the ass. Bloated and everything else what's included with this symptoms. Maybe I am sensitive against wheat? A German who can't eat bread anymore? Please not!
I felt sick in the night. Was awake for few hours and turned off my alarm for 4:30am. Wrote my new schedule down that I want to use my morning hours for career planning and writing and running but my body wanted to go to the bathroom couple of times and it hurt so much...so I needed more sleep in the morning. I am not upset about it just a bit sad I couldn't figure out if this would work for me.

tomorrow 5k race
Tomorrow is the day of my first serious 5k. The cherry blossom running fest in D.C.. I wanted to run the 10mile race but in the end it was not enough time to train...you can also say I wasn’t ready for the training. Now is the goal to take the time as starting point and train for the next 5k race in June. Now the goal(s) for this year:
1. June 24th 5k BWC: 10min/mile
2. October Baltimore running festival: Half marathon
Now is out...long time goal: half marathon in October
Mitzi's first day in the park. She was so brave and curious. For sure she loves to be outside and trust us so much.
