Those 5 weeks went pretty fast really. Everything seems so simple once you get past the transition phase. We did have a few cheats. Jason ate some chocolate on Easter. He had terrible joint pain the next day. I had red wine. It tasted different and gave me a terrible headache the next day. On Cinco de Mayo we had margaritas. They hit us super hard. And Jason had French fries, which wrecked his digestive system for about 2 weeks. Damn them oxalates! We also plateaued in weight loss for about 2-3 weeks. I’m pretty sure it was from having a few bourbon cocktails and cheese when we went out on the town. We cut that stuff back out and I’ve started increasing my exercise. Jason is down 18 pounds and I am down 13 pounds. We still get cravings here and there, but not like I did when I was just on regular keto. Sleeping really well and feeling sharp head wise. Next week will be our goal of six weeks, and I doubt we will be going back to our old ways.

I love April! There’s no “ha ha I gotcha” but the surprise is on me. I got up to move my car from the school at 7AM and I was ready to go back to bed like I normally do but SURPRISE BATCH YOU AINT DEPRESSED TODAY. So I showered and did my makeup and hair cute. Also did CHORES. Can you imagine what Id be like if I was like this just every other day? That’s really sad but that’s mental illness I guess. Gotta love the days the sun shines through the clouds tho!
