Casually stroking his own ego here. If N won't do it for him, then he might as well do it himself! The last thing he needs is to doubt himself and feel like complete and utter shit, so why not give a swift ass pat to his own person while he can? I don't think you ever said your name, though..?" He probably did and Oak wasn't paying attention, per-usual. Can't expect much out of a boy who's related to a guy who can't even remember people's genders. That'd just be taboo.
