Arnold Heim - "Büsserschnee" ice needles at approx. 5100 m on the southern slope of the Demavend volcano, 5760 m, highest mountain in the Elburs Mountains, northern Iran. These forms of ice needles are created by intense vertical radiation from the sun at high altitudes, also on the glaciers of the South American Andes, 10.09.1950
