SSSI and SAC Sites

While the UK is fortunate enough to have over 4,100 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), they require a skilled approach when it comes to gaining access for ongoing construction projects or the maintenance of our country’s power and telecoms infrastructure. With over half of these SSSIs being designated as Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), Special Protection Areas (SPAs) or Ramsar sites, exceptional care has to be taken to maintain the integrity of these locations, with some of our most endangered wildlife relying on them for their survival.
