Welcome to the (hopefully annual) first Shotgun Axe, an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Big Bang run by @uraniumshark.

1. What is a Big Bang?

A Big Bang is a fandom event that lets creators like artists pair with fanfiction writers. This event spans a few months at a time, and during that time the writers will work on one fanfiction (that isn't revealed to anyone but the artist) until posting day.

2. How many words do I have to write?

For this first Shotgun Axe, we have a minimum of 5k words for the fanfictions.

3. What is considered art for this Big Bang?

Art can be many things. You can create physical media, such as a drawing, knitted object from your fanfiction, collage, anything you can think of. For digital media it's about the same, digital art, pixel art, moodboards, and playlists are accepted. You could even write a song if you wanted.

4. Is AI allowed?

Absolutely not. Everything in this Big Bang will be human created.

5. Do you have a Discord?

Yes, we do!

6. How much of the show do I need to have seen to participate?

At least season 1, episode 1! Past that we're not gatekeeping participation.

Requirements as of January 25th for a hypothetical Bang:

ART: 

Original art, hand or digitally drawn

Graphic design

Manips (should be adjusted & edited so they are distinguishable from their origin(s))

Video edits (should be at least 10 seconds long)

Animation or animatic (should be at least 3 seconds)

Moodboards (at least six images)

Crafts (should be completed and able to be photographed)

FIC:

Fanfiction: At least 3k words.

Podfics: At least 1.5k words.

Suit up, everyone, the wait is over.

To join us, fill out this Sign-up Form. The form will stay open until January 31st for you to request customised cards. That’s one day before we open the round for posting on February 1st.

You should get a confirmation email after you fill it out. If you do not, you can email us at [email protected] or contact us on our Discord server. One of us can make sure your sign-up went through correctly.

Cards will start to go out on January 20th (because we’d like everyone, or most of you, to have it by February) and continue to go out as quickly as we can make them. As always, everyone gets a two-week window from the date you receive your cards to ask for swaps on any prompt you don’t like.

Before signing-up, please take a look at our FAQ and Rules pages to make sure we’re all on the same page. We assume you have done this when you signed up and you will be held accountable if you violate them. Also, a reminder that the Schedule is posted on a different page.
