The second time I went to the ER later that night, they actually did some blood work and other such tests, then at the end of it all, they said that I tested positive for influenza and to go home and take...

You guessed it:

Ibuprofen (extra strength this time!).

At that time I even keep saying that I would love a CT scan or a urine test or something, since the pain in abdomen was way, way too severe to be just the flu. But they were like "no muscle cramps are common with the flu, especially for...."

You guessed it:

"Older Women."

So I was like, fine, whatever, I'll go home, take your bare minimum pain relief, and try to sleep it off.

Well, I did or tried to any way. I ended up waking up at about 9pm the next night, with the most excruciating pain in my left abdominal region I've ever had. So once again I had to get some one to drive me to the ER, where they finally decided to get a urine sample and CAT scan. Even then it took them over 6 hours (about 4am) before they finally sat me down was like:

Doctor: "yeah you need to get your gallbladder out now or it might rupture".

Me: "how was this not caught the first two times?"

Doctor: "we didn't scan for it."

Me: "well I did ask if they could look at my stomach/ abdomen cause it hurt way worse than anything else"

Doctor: "they thought it was just the flu"

Me: "And that prevented them from scanning it why again?"

Doctor: "We typically don't scan for things if we have a good guess as to what the issue is"

Me: "yeah, that worked out well for me, huh?"

Doctor: "hey at least you were brave enough to come back! "

OMG I almost heard Kill Bill sirens when he said that. I really should have responded with "but what if I didn't? Not that I wouldn't have been "brave enough" to but because the last two times your fellow doctors tried to convince me it was flu/ early onset menopause?" Like I probably would've been dead
