you know that place between sleep & awake?

i’m always down for new plots and connecting with other writers, but please have an idea or two or a direction you’d like to go as a jumping point before reaching out. my small brain gets very excited about new things but also a tad overwhelmed and doesn’t know where to start.

ok so. to preface i hate these and will undoubtedly never ever do something like this for you again (god willing..) 

BUT

this year i’ve got some stuff to say.

since your last birthday there have been moments where i was ready to not know you anymore, moments where you were so aggravating i wanted to put my head through a wall, and there were times we didn’t speak a word to each other.. yet more than those there were times we didn’t go a day without trying to annoy each other or check in on the other in our very own ways.

i’ve asked you the dumbest questions, i’ve even asked you put my responsibilities in your calendar so that i wouldn’t forget to pay my bills on time. i’ve told you silly stories, scary stories, sad and happy stories -- and ofc the new gay stories too hahaha.

 i’ve shared my favorite disney facts and even formed a tradition of saying hi to our friends nearly every single time i’m there now, because of your stupid. 

that’s your impact (*tm) though. you crept your way into my life in such odd and varying ways that i don’t think i realize your impact as often as i should - which is something that i am pretty sure is the best part about our friendship. 

because you do it in silence 90% of the time, you do one of the hardest things a person can do and you do so thanklessly. i’ve told you this before but i’m going to tell you again, and publicly in hopes to embarrass you, but your biggest contribution to both our palship, and probably the whole world, is how you take those you care about 100000% as they are no matter what. you have seen me go OFF and listened to me sob and heard the highest and most ridiculous tangents at any hour whether you were even there or not, you’ve seen me be horrible and delightful and hilarious and creative, and you have encouraged and/or validated all of it in some form. literally from the first breakdown of mine you saw, my weirdest moments and you figuring out how to understand the ridiculous way i explain things - and how fucking kind you were in how you asked me to re-explain - along with any and everything in between you’ve made an effort to understand or empathize in a way that i understand it, even if its not what you’re used to. and it’s made me entirely unable to get rid of you for far too long now. 

and i am very very thankful for it, for our friendship, and for you (usually), big head.

“That is exactly what I’m calling you, yes. Although I’m not so sure either of us can say that after last night. I think we both know we’re both plenty of fun.” Ben teased as he welcomed her back into the bed with open arms, attaching his lips to any bit of her skin that he could, finally landing on her neck. “I think you know exactly how hard I am without you… and with you. Is this you calling in sick and staying in bed with me all day as we do nasty things to each other?”

she sits down next to him, short, and curvy. he liked his women, short and small. he was tall, but next to a small woman, he felt absolutely monstrous. “can i ask what you’re doing in my date’s seat?” he asks rather suggestively. as if he’s about to haul her off the damn seat and take her in the bathroom and show her a good time. he would make her black out the sex would be so damn good.
